Game Name: Okami

Players: 1

Age Rating: 13+ [Teen]

Platforms PS2 (version played), Wii

Review:
You play as Ameratsu the Sun God trying to purify the world and take down the 8 headed demon Orochi.
The game is set in Nippon classic history, and begins with a flashback to events 100 years prior to the game's present, and describes how Shiranui, a pure white wolf, and Nagi, a swordsman, together fought the eight-headed demon Orochi to save Kamiki village and the maiden Nami, Nagi's beloved. They didn't manage to take down Orochi but they did seal him away. As you play as Ameratsu you confront Orochi not once, but twice and take him down but with a twist.
The game plays extremely well. You can tell by playing the game a few minutes the developers really knew what they were doing when the made this game. The controls are tight and work very well with the flow of gameplay. Okami is probably the best looking PS2 game i have ever played, its water-colored style makes it as if it was created by traditional Japanese ink-illustration. The soundtrack, of course, is traditional Japanese music and it flows nicely with the plot of the story. My favorite part was the the japanese origin of the game. My least favorite part was that sometimes you would get somewhere and it won't explain what you have to do so you may get stucky easily.

Ratings:
Graphics: A+
Sounds: B+
Gameplay: A
Replayability: B+

Overall Score: A

Nice review! I liked this one a lot too, definately showed that 3rd party support on Wii can be done right.

Need to change the scoring system though.... we're using the school grading system (the top being A and bottom being F).
