Listed in order of market share.

My browser choice is still Firefox because it's cross platform, works pretty well most the time and has some really amazing addons. It takes ages to load on my netbook though :/ (curiously, on win 7 it takes about 3x longer to load than on xubuntu).

Internet Explorer ftw.

Yes, I'm serious.
No, I've not had a virus/trojan on my PC for the last 5 years. Across 3 different versions of Windows as well (XP, XP-64, and Vista64).

Why? Browsing habits.

Works with every site I regularly visit, requires no plethora of addons deemed "vital" by it's community.

Chrome is shiny and all, but I'm still leaning back to IE8, mainly because of the compatibility of sites.

Fire extinguishers of all flavours at the ready, flame away.

And doubters, ask Blokey to dig through his work's intranet for my posts on the same subject.

I used to use IE but switched over to FF with IE7. I don't even use addons aside from Ad-Block Plus; the browser itself is intelligently designed. One of the best features for me is that I can just type in part the name of a webpage or address and FF will search through my history to find it for me. It's so convenient, I love it. IE7 used to require that you type in the "http://..." stuff if you wanted to do a quick search for stuff. I never used IE8 though, so maybe they added that.

I never had securiy problems with IE, though...

I think you'll see the same is true for the other browsers as well. I haven't had any security problems with IE either, that I can think about. I switched back in the IE6 days when I discovered tabbed browsing.

I haven't run across a site in ages that didn't work in all popular browsers.

I've yet to find one I truly like. IE has all kinds of caching problems. Firefox has memory leaks. And even though Chrome works on tabs each tab you open starts a new process of chrome and I've yet to find a way to clear only the cookies I select and not all of them. Currently I'm using chrome however I'm thinking of going back to Mozilla soon.

I don't think I've ever run across any of these alleged memory leaks :hmm: The problems I have is mainly it being slow to start and sometimes temporarily locking up (most the time because of flash).

I find Chrome the most visually pleasing, along with it's simple and easy to use UI, I don't need any extensions that most FF fanboys proclaim as the best thing ever.

I very much enjoy Opera, but I stopped using it a while ago, swapped over to FF. Seemed to work better with a few sites I regulared.

Not a huge fan of Chrome, I never got what was so great about it, and IE8 is pretty okay at best. Anything before that is almost unusable to me. Never used Safari.

I'd have to restart FF every few days when it reached about 2GB of mem usage.
