It's called personal responsibility. Alcohol is legal, tobacco is legal. It's legal to go on a racing track and race which is lethal. Some drugs are legal, plenty of hazardous activities are legal. There's no point in banning marijuana imo. Harder drugs are a bit more difficult and I think they should stay banned.

If anyone wants to rely on pot, or alcohol "to relax", that's fully up to them. If you don't like it, don't be friends with them. I think it's fully up to them and we don't need a nanny state telling them what to do.

Alcohol is the only drug your body can take, flush out, and fully recover from.

Which is why I drink.

Anything else, even just smoking, is a no-no.

I have friends who do, but they know I don't, so they don't do it around me.

As for hard drugs... we should legalise them all and let the problem of junkies solve itself, ifyaknoworramean.

For this I will be deliberately obtuse. Coffee, tea, alcohol, (too much) water, not enough food and exercise will all change the way you behave. Equally may people feel games, movies and competitive activities can also change aspects of behavour.

Clarified a bit. The first bit is still a bit hazy, because some people act better whilst high, but that's where the second point comes in.

tl;dr this means I dislike pretty much any brain-altering substance except alchohol, and even then, a person has to be a happy/fun drunk for me to approve of that.

I've known a couple of guys that are habitual pot smokers, and they haven't changed one bit since I've known them. Sure, drugs affect different people in different ways, that applies to anything, not just pot. But it's certainly not the boogey monster some people make it out to be.

Personally, I doubt I will ever indulge in recreational drug use. That may change in the future, but I doubt. I don't care if a friend smokes pot, I haven't met someone whose been fucked up by it, though the reasons behind said smoking may concern me. Now, if I hear that my friend is doing heroin or some other shit like that, I WILL intervene, reasons be damned. I haven't heard anything good about those kind of drugs, medicinally speaking or otherwise.

I support legalizing just about anything that people can elect to injest/inject/smoke themselves.

In regards to the alcohol/liver thing, I meant to say "when taken in moderation".

Obviously overuse any substance and it will mess you up. But whereas tobacco, marijuana, heroin, cocaine, etc, will all permanently mess you up, even in moderation, alcohol can be easily flushed out and your body will go back to how it was before.

If you're really against drugs go to your shelves and pick up every album film and book which is any good. Now burn them, for these are the fruits of all the things you disprove of.
Now go back and pick up everything which isn't that good and burn that too as it was probably also made by someone on drugs though they obviously had a problem getting good stuff.
