are completely asinine.
To start, Id like to point out that Apple took the first stabs at Microsoft with the whole Mac vs PC argument (if it could even be called that, it seems more like PC bashing). They haven't stopped, either. Now, It took one or two years for Microsoft to stab back with their shopping commercials that deem Mac computers to be rather expensive for the hardware given. Not a single person can deny that that is true.
Now I don't know what the sales figures for Vista are, but I do know that Mac sales were higher that they had ever been at the beginning of 2008. No doubt this is because of media buzzing about issues with Vista, causing slow performance and virus problems in the case of those without common sense or antivirus protection (or both).
If Apple is to continue to compete for the market, they'll have to stop acting like a 12 year old bashing Microsoft's current OS. With Windows 7, everything Apple has been able to come up with is practically thrown out the window. There is no performance issues. Installing drivers is done by the OS, so those upgrading won't see any problems. Windows 7 has increased security with far less nagging, so anyone with common sense won't end up with any malware.
As a closing statement, I'd like to mention what Apple said at WWDC today.
Quote:
Doing the honors was Bertrand Serlet, who took the stage by saying "what a sharp contrast with Vista our OS is," and only got rolling from there, pointing out "what a big hole Microsoft has dug," and adding that "they're trying to get out of it with Windows 7." Of course, Serlet didn't have many good things to say about Windows 7 either, which he says has "even more complexity" than Vista because it's just based on the "same old tech as Vista."
That's like saying "Im gonna kick your ass" to a man holding a gun.
Apple, I hope your OS rots.
