LOTR definitely.

It had an awesome ending (even if it was half an hour long) and the battles and storyline were so epic. Music and acting was superb IMO as well.

Star Wars...no. The prequel trilogy was crap.
Then again...you could say the "true" ending was good (that is Episode VI).
But seriously when half of a series sucks then that might as well be the whole thing. LOTR was good all around.

...too bad my ex girlfriend has my entire trilogy! :evil:

Look, when you get down to the very basics, LOTR is about 2 hobbits who go for a romantic journey together across Middle Earth. They're blatantly gay and, were it not for Gollum being around, would be fucking each other senseless instead of questing to destroy the ring.

Star Wars, on the other hand, has lightsabers, Darth Vader and a guy shooting motherfucking lightning from his motherfucking hands.
