South Park wins in every aspect, there's no competition here.

South Park. They start at the edge that Family Guy stops and keep going.

They are both awesome, but Family Guy is just far funnier. South Park pushes so far that it ceases being funny in a lot of cases IMO.

The one with the kid with cancer and Stan being a hockey coach, just wasn't funny. In fact, it bordered on the tasteless. I know other episodes of South Park have been equally as tasteless, but kids dying is nothing to make fun of.

Family Guy doesn't push it overboard, they get you to the point just before it and make you choose if you want to go too far.

That alone makes Family Guy the winner.

Besides, South Park hasn't been funny since season 7.

seems to me the thing you guys don't like South Park for is the reason I love it. I guess living in US gives me a different perspective being that we are so strict here on what's acceptable for TV viewing.

Don't get me wrong, I like me some edgy, close to the knuckle, downright nasty humour. I just think it lost that touch back years ago and now they're offending for the sake of offending.

Imagine Tom Green, but in animation. That's South Park now.

Although their Wii two parter and their Imaginationland triple-bill was rofltastic.

South Park is so much better than Family Guy. Family Guy is extremely simple humour, joke after joke, with no kind of story or intelligence behind it at all. Not all episodes of SP are good, but most of them are much better than any FG episode. The last one was genius, for example. If you want my views on SP vs FG, just watch Cartoon Wars by South Park. That about sums up my opinion =) And it's a funny episode too (actually, I think it might be a double).

Is that where Cartman tries to stop Family Guy from being made, and teams up with Bart Simpson? Yeah, thats a two parter, and yeah, its funny.

My gripe is that FG is consistently funny, whereas SP is either hit or miss. I likes me some consistency in mah programming.

Let's just say that when someone makes me watch FG I just want to kill myself.

I grow tired of the argument that Family Guy has no storyline in their episodes. That's crap.

Family Guy has a story in just about every episode, it's just they choose to not be as stringent as other shows, and let themselves stray from the storyline to bring in another joke. Sure, they have totally random stuff that pops into the show at odd times, but that's half of what makes the show so hilarious. And frankly, what makes it Family Guy.

I'm not saying you have to like it better than South Park, or even at all. But, the story is there, so please, don't use that argument.

In my opinion, South Park never has been, or ever will be as funny as Family Guy.
