Name: Matthew Lucas

Age: 17

Location: Southampton

How old were you when you got into gaming, and which system did it?
I can't rememebr my age but it was either Pokemon on the GameBoy or Fifa 2002 on PS1 that did it.

If different from above, what was the first system you owned?
I remember having a Sega Megadrive but lord knows what happened to that :(

What systems do you currently own?
Playstation 3, Wii, PSP, DS, PS2 and a SNES.

What is your favorite system, be it current or retro?
Playstation 3, for sure.

A rough estimate of how many games you own?
73 PS3 games, around 20 PS2 games, 10 SNES games and god knows how many PSP games. So quite a lot.

What game are you currently playing?
Just finished up on Medal of Honor, wich was decent at best. Now onto Borderlands, when this gets posted I'd have probably moved onto Resistance 3.

What is your favourite genre, and why?
Sandbox games for sure. I love having an open world to explore with lots to see and do, especially if there are nifty little easter eggs to find and other such things.

What is your favourite game series, and why?
Probably FIFA, I think I've bought ever release since 02 and I'm still not bored. So much fun online with friends and career mode is always a blast.

What is your all-time favorite game, and why?
Uh I'm gonna go with Pokemon Red right now, ask me next week and it'll probably be different, same with the week after that, and after that...

Who is your favourite developer, and why?
In recent years probably Rocksteady, despite not having a big library of games they seem to be extremely passionate about what they do and Batman Arkham Aslyum was amazing so yeah.

Give us your most under-rated/under-valued game.
Mafia 2.

Any platform exclusive you'd like to see make the leap to multiplatform?
Halo for sure, they look fun as hell.

How about your favorite handheld game?
Vice City Stories probably.

Any old series you'd like to see revived on current gen platforms?
Star Wars Battlefront, please please please I'd sell my toes for that.

Tell us about your most memorable gaming moment, something you're going to tell your grandkids.
I can't think of anything

Deep thoughts now:
Given the many news reports of people committing horrific acts against other people and then blaming videogames, do you feel that videogames are - in any way, shape or form - responsible for these atrocities, or are there other issues at play?

It'd be stupid to blame video games for peoples stupidness but at the same time it'd be stupid to write them off completely. They probably have some effect on some sort of subconcious level or something. I rememeber a guy at my old school pulled someone off a chair in Science and said 'GTA style' or something along those lines if I recall, so games do have some sort of influence I suppose, same goes for films and TV I guess. Whatever.

Have you ever found yourself looking at life or the world around you in a different light after playing a videogame, or has a videogame had any influence on how you live your life?
Not that I can recall.

And finally, tell us a strange but true fact about yourself.
I'm shit scared of ants. Not even joking.
