Wow. January is officially the most boring month in gaming.

1st
1996 - Acclaim releases Mortal Kombat 3 for the PlayStation and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for the Saturn in the US.
1997 - Acclaim Entertainment releases Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero for the Nintendo Sixty FOOOOOOUUUUUURRRRRR in the US.

5th
2010 - Sega releases Bayonetta for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the US.
1985 - At the Winter Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Nintendo first shows the Nintendo Entertainment System in the US.

6th
2001 - At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Microsoft unveils the Xbox.

7th
2003 - Nintendo unveils the Game Boy Advance SP in the US.

8th
1994 - Sega announces it is withdrawing the Night Trap video game for re-editing, and will re-release the game when a common rating system is in place.

10th
2002 - Sega releases Rez for the PlayStation 2 in the US.

15th
1968 - Ralph Baer applies for a patent on his invention of the television video game system.

17th
1994 - Microsoft and Sega Enterprises for an agreement for Microsoft to supply portions of operating system software for controlling a new Sega video game system.

1998 - Capcom releases Resident Evil 2 for the PlayStation and Nintendo Sixty FOOOOOOUUUUUURRRRRR in the US.

2008 - Electronic Arts releases Burnout Paradise for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the US.

1999 - Sony Computer Entertainment introduces the PocketStation in Japan. Games are downloaded from the PlayStation in a new format. Price is about US$25.

January will always suck for gaming, top games are out just in time for the Xmas season, any game in January or March are just trying to hold back being slaughtered by a competitor in the genre (KZ2 anyone?).

So no big releases, instead just announcements and that's about it.

Bayonetta can fucking lick my balls. It's just shite, and if you take dat ass out of the game, it wouldn't even feature on anyone's radar.

Although, the pictures of the boothbabe dressed as Bayonetta makes my pants all happy-wet.

I remember paying about Â£120 for my work at the time to do a one off order for a silver GBASP when they were limited. Then they decided to do them as a standard colour

I have what is apparently a limited edition black one with the Ninty logo at the time, "WHO ARE YOU?" written across it in silver graffiti font.
