One thing that was never given any thought throughout all the comments I've seen...his father was a pastor. People of religion (those that follow it blindly) usually don't do a very good job of raising kids. In fact, the kids normally openly rebel.

That's true. PKs are the biggest pains in the ass I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. They always feel they're entitled to get what they want because of their parent's position, and at the same time, they resent the high expectations people place on them. Each and every one of them is a fucking Molotov cocktail waiting to be lit and tossed into a high-pressure situation. This doesn't surprise me at all. Catholics had the right idea of forbidding their priests from sexual activity. They knew this kind of shit would happen.

I remember about 10 years ago when a kid killed his friend the parents blamed wrestling. "My---- didn't kill his friend ------- did" So now it is video gaming not bad parenting that kills people. Why don't parents stand up and admit their fault not somebody else.

Did you read the article? Sounds to me the parents did their job, but the kid still shot them.

The parents may have done the responsible thing THEN, but I'm inclined to say that they didn't raise him right if his answer to confiscation is a gunshot to the head.

People just do bad things. Its a fact of life. Way back in cavemen times, I'm sure that people still killed one another without any other kind of influence.

I just think that games are now being used as a "get out of jail free" card by chancers trying their luck.

The child was clearly raised in a loving home with responsible parents, he went behind their backs and got punished, there's nothing wrong with that.

And then there's the fact his Father FORGIVES him over it all.

I think the only ignorance here is the fact you guys are judging him on his religion and not his blatent commitment to his family.
