Joey - found the dungeon, beat Skeletron, cleared the dungeon, found all the people, only have the wizard left.

Bill - you mean the clowns? Yeah, I heard that they're pretty dangerous, but absolutely useless if your house is elevated as their bombs can't reach. Y'know, like my house? Also, I've been reading up on house defence, so I'm already one step ahead of those bastards...

Prof - haven't got that far yet. Heard that the dungeon itself was mine-able, but it appears not so on consoles, which is a shame as apparently that shit is bomb-proof. The stone does its part, but thinking about giving it a second, outer layer of obsidian, give it a nice contrast.

Finished modelling the house externally, and now I'm just sorting out my storage, which is taking FOREVER because I have a shitload of shit. Decided against using the statues to denote storage, as signs are much better. Still gonna have my massive display foyer though.

Still, I had enough to put over 20 gold chandelliers up in that bitch, and I still have about 20 more ready to go up... AND I STILL HAVE TWO CHESTS OF BARS LEFT.

Here's some advised reading for starters. Trust me, most of it will save your life.

My snow-filled Fortress Of Solitude is almost completed.

As in, it's been built, all my shit has been transferred over, Bwokahland is now just a hard mode place to mine expensive ores, and Awesomalia (like Somalia, but more awesome) is my new, non-hard mode home.

Of course, I still fully intend on getting hard mode on this level (purely because I want fucking Santa to move in), but how could I resist a snow-capped utopia all to myself?

HERE BE SECRETS

Large lava moat.
Requires two grapple shots to reach entrance.
Lowest part of house over 30 blocks from the ground.
4 dart traps positioned to destroy most enemies before they hit the lava.
Need only worry about flying enemies like eyeballs.

Enemies are nothing when you have good gear. Carl, did you beat the wall yet? I recommend getting a star cannon and collecting about 300 stars before going down to fight it.

If you read through some of the other posts, you'd see I already have beaten the wall - four times now - in my original world. Spent some time there this morning farming Wyverns for souls so I can make some wings.

In my new world, I haven't done anything yet, aside from build a massive fortress that is accessable only by flying creatures, and even then, there's no way for them to get in.

Also, discovered that Dungeon Bricks are actually mine-able on console, unlike the wikis say. However, you have to have a dungeon within a certain radius for it to me mine-able, so I created a fourth world (small) to use as a place to gather resources.

My original world is now a place to gather hard-mode resources, and my new world is essentially a big plaything.

Cassy also has her own medium sized world, and demanded I outfit her with some quality gear, as the start of the game can be ever so frustrating for new beginners, not to mention girl gamers.

I'm pretty sure the dragons can fly through walls, but I could be mistaken.

Also, here's my old server world after the griefers came through one night. Unfortunately I had the server set to auto-save everything every hour, and it saved over the perfect world with the half-destroyed one. Lame. Some stuff was protected from modification, but most wasn't. HERE BE SECRETSThey dumped lava in my fucking house.

Console release issues - 360/PS3 - cannot mine Dungeon Bricks.

Turns out you can, but the dungeon brick you're mining has to be within a certain distance from the spawn point. I have a video I took this morning proving it if you fancy looking a little embarrassed. I'll be adding it to the official wiki later, so I'll throw it here too for you guys.

But yeah, not sure why they did this on console, but whatever.

That is weird but at least you figured out how to do it. You should update the wiki with that information.
