Triple-quoting for truth.

There's more to that than just death: Literally anything can happen to anyone at any given time. Living in paranoia over that definitely isn't something you want to do with your life. I'm not about to ask you details about the situation, but I hope everyone's doing alright on your end.

Why is it so hard to just not chase the rabbit.
Why is it so hard to see your failures and flaws as something to overcome, instead of seeing them as defining.
Just don't chase the rabbit.

That's a Hebrew proverb. I really like it.
Hoping for the best, Dragonheat.

And I'm glad about the job thing Blokey, that sounds really great.

I want to play Magic and D&D again but after the crap I dealt with in HS relating to them(DM kept killing me off just for laughs, Everyone kept ganging up on me in Magic multiplayer then insulted me for losing.) I recently went to a tabletop game shop and I kept getting this aura from people like "what are you doing here? You don't belong here."

Dunno how to play that either. Plus no camera/mic. Dunno what to do. Very computer illiterate.

So the other day I broke up with my girlfriend. It was hard when I broke it off with her. Cried for like a solid hour or 2 but then the tears just stopped and like any feeling and crap just went out the door. My ex is ok about it. She is ok with everything. She says she doesn't feel the same about me as she used too and that is fine. My feelings for her have changed as well. I actually feel really good. It is not getting me down. Me and Her still talk and if we get back together only time will tell. On the same day I broke up with my girlfriend my brother broke up with his girlfriend of 5 years. I actually am glad for him because I never liked his girlfriend. She was never social with the family and me and her never talked. She wanted to get married and my bro wasn't ready for it. He also was tired of paying everything for her since she had no job and she wasn't motivated to get a job. She was out of school a year before my brother had no job and really never looked, then went back to school to become a physician assistant which is what she is doing now. There were other problems how my brother would want to go out and have fun with her and she never wanted to do anything and how my brother would ask her if she heard this or that or even talked to her about his day and she didn't want to hear about it. I am shocked to see them split. I thought they would have gotten married but It seems they weren't meant to be. The sad part is my bro was there till 12 that day he broke up with her, she went through three tissue boxes. She was really in love with my brother.

Might as well say it before anyone else does.

Expect to go through this more than just once.

You're still relatively young, and so is your brother. Getting with a girl at school and feeling like you'll be together forever? Happens to everyone. And it does happen occasionally. Guy I work with has been with his now wife since he was a teen, and he's in his 30s now. But this is rarer than photos of the Pope sucking off a donkey.

I'd be amazed if the next one is the one you grow old with.

But at the same time, these experiences help create and mould you into the person you will become. Experience with being with different people, dealing with different levels of emotion, dealing with discreet foibles and little nuances that vary between person to person. These people will help you learn how to successfully maintain a relationship when you're finally ready to. But that doesn't mean you have to go from girl to girl. You'll learn shit from doing that, and it will ruin your life. Trust me.

It sucks, and I feel for you brah, cos we've all been there. Just don't go jumping into anything too soon, and don't go thinking you'll never have that again. You will, and better. Trust me again.

Stay strong, dude. And tell your brother the same. You'll be fine.

It is going to be awhile before I am ready to go out and find someone. Everything takes time.

Some people take their time. Others jump right in straight away. I didn't want to assume you were one of the other. Just sayin'.

Yeah I know, As for my brother he wanted to break up with his girlfriend last year apparently. There is probably more to it and he did what needed to be done.

Good luck man. Now's a tough time, but if you power through it and use the extra time and energy you'll hopefully have to improve your life you'll be unstoppable!
