I love this thing, the pictures looks awesome.

I was playing Sonic 1 and the color just pops out. It's amazing.

I bought a SNES lol

No more buying shit for me...until the next paycheck.

$45. It comes with a few shit games like Family Feud and Caesar's Palace, but some choice stuff includes Tetris Attack, Top Gear and Mario Paint complete with box and instructions.

I can probably sell Mario Paint and make my back half of my money. Dude that I bought it off from on eBay doesn't live that far off either, he agreed to me picking it up tomorrow.

I need to get my hands on Killer Instinct, SF2 Turbo, Mario shit and Super Castlevania. I want Turtles in Time and Sunset Riders as well, but those games are fucking expensive.

Does an Xbox game count as retro? It should. I want the limited edition Halo 2 but it's fucking $99.99 on Amazon. I wonder if gamestop has any..

That generation didn't feel like that long ago.

So my SNES came in... but none of the hookups were with it. I contacted the seller, apparently his wife was the one that packed it up and forgot to include the wires. He told me that he would be sending the stuff out today. I am going to e-mail him again tomorrow to see if the dude actually send them out. He was fast with responding to me so I am hoping he is being honest with me. He has a high approval rating on eBay so.... fingers crossed...

Anyhoo, I headed to a local mom n pop game store in Long Beach to pick up some connections. I have a spare AV cable so all I need was AC adapter and controller. I bought both of them, but generic brands. Controller works fine, but the AC adapter is iffy.

I noticed that there were these weird horizontal lines that strobed along the middle of the TV. At first I thought it was my television, but I connected other game consoles and I didn't get that effect. So I googled this peculiar problem thinking that it was my system that was the problem. But apparently, it is the damn AC adapter! The original SNES adapter uses 10volt connectors, the one that I got? It is 9volts. Even more interesting what it specifically said that 3-in-one adapters were the one causing the problems; which just so happens is one that I had purchased.

The good thing is that I was able to test out all of my cartridges and they all worked. The box for Mario paint is kinda beat up, but the cartridge looks flawless. Comes with everything: game, mouse, mousepad and instruction manual.

I am going back to the mom and pop place and see if I can get a refund or at least store credit.

Mario paint sounds awesome. I'm surprised that's not the game you're keeping.

Mario Paint is definitely awesome, but I am looking for actual games lol. If i could, i would totally trade this for Sunset Riders or Turtles in Time. While I look for cheaprr options, I will hang onto Mario Paint.

Oh, and the ebay seller told me that he has sent all of the connections yesterday. I hope I get it soon. Sunday is boring lol

Got my connections, everything runs smoothly.

I returned the knock off AC adapter and got me a used Wii Motion Plus. $10 and it is an official Nintendo one

I just pick up whatever I find for cheap  There is a store called Gameplay about 30 minutes from me. It is a mom and pop shop that sells both old and new stuff. I bought my six button Sega Genesis controller there for only $4.

Today, a brodude of mine gifted me a SNES copy of Street Fighter 2: Turbo. I told him that I was looking for a copy and he just gifted me one.

DK, UN Squadron and F-Zero were purchased from a guy at my job. I offered $10 bucks for each one. Cool thing is that Donkey Kong Country came with the box and it is in pretty damn good condition.

Killer Instinct was purchased on eBay.

I bought a few games the other day. One isn't retro, two others are kinda. The other is old-ish but I have it on PC anyway, but wanted the disc copy.

One of the better Tomb Raider games.

Gonna be playing this with my housemate. She enjoyed some Goldeneye and this is the closest thing I could find in my price range.

This one doesn't work on the 360, sadly, but at least I still technically have a copy of SmashTV, which can't be bought on XBLA anymore. I mean seriously, who wouldn't want to play the video game version of The Running Man?

This one isn't retro but I did buy it at a charity shop all the same. I owned the special edition of this game and as much as it broke my heart, I had to sell it due to very difficult financial situations last year. I'm gonna play it and I will finish it. Once I've finished FFV...

I take it you have a regular Xbox then?

I never actually owned one. I have a few games for it since my brother has one but fucker never let me play with it. Only times I had it is when he wasn't around.

Also FFXIII: BARF. Enjoy walking through hallways for the first 20 hours.

You could have at least gotten the PS3 version  that one is more visually appealling at least.
