Well I don't have it anymore so I won't experience broken controllers.

Store had a copy of Gun.Smoke for the same price so I exchanged it for that. This one works too :D

Bought RE2 Nintendo Sixty FOOOOOOUUUUUURRRRRR today. Always been interested in this game, it's insane they fit a two disk game on a single cartridge. FMV is pretty compressed but the game play is impressively sharp. Playing on a CRT, the game looks really, really good. I never beat an old school RE though, so it'll be interesting. Type C/third-person control is a god send.

Bought SSB64 a while back, started to really get into that after going to a tournament where I found out day off it was random character each round. I said to hell with losing again

That's insane. I have no idea on the storage capacity of Nintendo Sixty FOOOOOOUUUUUURRRRRR cartridges.

I played RE2 on the Dreamcast. unlocking hunk is seriously good fun!

The RE2 cart was 64MB, the biggest ever made for the system. They sure don't make games like that anymore...developers don't seem to push consoles as much as they used to.

sixty four fucking meg and the Playstation/Dreamcast versions both required to discs?

What the actual fuck? A bit of fucking compression is nothing compared to getting that amount of space into 64 meg.

jesus...

Woah, been months since I posted here.

Anyhoo, I bought a Nintendo Sixty FOOOOOOUUUUUURRRRRR. Two controllers with Star Fox 64, F-Zero X, 007 Nightfire, Diddy Kong Racing and Star Wars Pod Racer for $60. The labels aren't in the best condition, but they all work.

I could have probably paid less for it, was originally thinking of spending $50.

But now I officially own all Nintendo home consoles. NES, SNES, 64, Gamecube, Wii and Wii U.

Nice.

Always did want to pick up some older consoles, especially the NES, SNES, and a new Dreamcast (mine's busted, sadly).
Never did get around to it though. I've always looked around ebay, but never bothered actually going for it.

Oh, and I know that there's this full-on pod racing mode for that Star Wars game.
I don't know if you have to put in a code for it, but I know there's a way to play a few races by connecting two Nintendo Sixty FOOOOOOUUUUUURRRRRR controllers in and using the joysticks on each to steer.
A friend of mine did that at school once, and it was hilarious. It's the most clunky thing ever, but it's worth trying a few times for kicks.

Oh, I've never posted in here. Guess I should make my original Fallout games purchase (for $2) from the Christmas Steam sale official and mention them here. I'm gonna play 'em in full sometime, I swear.

Fallout is amazing but Fallout 2 is bigger and better. Fallout Tactics will always be my favourite though...

The Dreamcast came my way as a gift lol. A cousin of mine from Mexico said her kids didn't want it cuz it was old so I said fuck it, pass it my way. It didn't have the hookups for it, only the Tony Hawk game; but I paid $8 on eBay for a power cord, S-Video cable and controller.

What is great is that this is an early generation Dreamcast so making bootleg games for this thing is easy.

The plot summary I've read for Tactics always made me really want to play, so I'm looking forward to finally getting to that.

So I was playing some Nintendo Sixty FOOOOOOUUUUUURRRRRR the other day, primarily the 4 player games.

Holy hell, wtf happened to the frame rate? Is this what we had to deal with as kids? In Mario Kart 64, THE MUSIC ISN'T EVEN ON. Once you go past two players, the music turns off.

Diddy Kong Racing framerate was atrocious, and OH GOD THE CLIPPING. I went right through the environment once. It was ridiculos.

Smash Bros with 4 players; Make sure to play with items off cuz shit is slower than mollasses when things happen on the screen. We couldn't wait for one person to die in that game so that the game will speed up.

We were playing 007 The World is Not Enough and in 4 players, the character models look like blocks from far away. Like straight up Atari shit only 3D.

The one game I expected to look the worst, F-Zero X, actually ran the best! The games simplified graphics made it so it runs at a smooth 60 frames even when there are four players.

Star Fox 64 was the best one right after that. It ran kinda choppy in some parts, but it was playable. It was smooth once one person got elminated.

Still had fun though :D

Next thing you know, you'll start getting angry that your picture isn't in crisp 1080p.
Look at what this gen has done

HERE BE SECRETSI don't even care. If it takes whining to get devs to make games look and perform better, then so be it.
On the flip side, a game can run at a stable 30fps and be perfectly fine. It's not a deal-breaker.
