Now I'm a Mega MGS fan but to my shame I only just bought the MGS1 recently off the PSN store.... :(

But fuck me was it a great purchase! 10€ Epically well spent! Even though its 13 years old it puts almost all modern games to shame! Even the graphics are still easily playable, alright the faces of the characters look crap but everything else is grand!

I Don't know of a better series of games :) Truly Amazeballs!

Better late than never. Did you use a guide or came up with the controller swap thing by yourself when fighting psycho mantis? How did you like him reading your memory card?

The original MGS (not original MG, before anyone says anything) is one of those few games that I tell people you simply HAVE to play. One of the very few games I'd consider "perfect".

MGS2 sucked dick, and MGS3 was just snoozefest, and we all know MGS4 was simply an interactive movie, but yeah, first one's a doozy.

I was confused as fuck so I kept on bugging Campbell on codec and he told me :D Brilliant Boss fight! He said I was a crappy warrior but a Boss at avoiding traps :/

I made sure to specifically say MGS :P I've never played the Metal Gears but for the story I may... someday.
MGS2 did Suck, MGS3 was frickin Amazing and MGS4 was brilliant and a befitting end. The only real problem is that they didn't stick closely enough to the whole formula established in MGS1, MGS4 was kinda n00bed-up a little for initiates, still kicked ass...

Ehhhhh, MGS 2 wasnt that bad, the bait and switch was lame though. MGS3 is my favorite by far. Havent really played MGS4 too much.

btw, I assume you played it on PS3. But there's no memory card on PS3,right? Then you couldnt get your memory card read... :P You didnt experience 0.05% of the game.

Well there it is.... I'd hardly be able to play the entire game straight through in one sitting, even with long breaks etc.. :P
The Virtual memory cards are great and free-ish!

Okay here we go. Gotta say this.

I. Love. Metal Gear Solid 1. Adore it. Fantastic game, great plot, amazing gameplay. Loved every minute.

Metal Gear Solid 2...

I ALSO LOVED. There, I said it. Deal With It. I thought it was fantastic. I got where it was going with its story and I understood it. Hahaaa! I loved every last minute. Even better gameplay too, and the story, while not as strong as the first one, was still amazing.

Metal Gear Solid 3 was also amazing and I LOVED the story of it. Just as good as the first one. I really, really got a feel for the characters. Big Boss is the biggest damned hero ever. Really made me want to fuck the La-li-lu-le-lo up something fierce.

Metal Gear Solid 4 however, I have not played... at all. Not even a bit. Not a scooby.Iiii more or less know the plot mind you. more or less. So yeah I think I'm fine without playing it.

Nothing wrong with enjoying MGS2 it was a good game but for me the worst in the MGS series as a whole.
But you really should play MGS4 its a befitting end to the whole thing! :)

MGS1 was awesome. I remember playing that very clearly, still have the original on the shelf here from when I bought it. I lived in a pub at the time and spent my time drinking or playing that on a portable upstairs. Great days. The bad guy characters were all awesome as well. Sniper Wolf was fit as.

MGS2 - extremely "meh". Many samey environments (another gantry, another load of pipes rah rah)

MGS3 - just couldnt get into it and I cant think why. Story was OK...

And yeah, the 4th one was a gfx HEY IM A PS3 LOOK WHAT I CAN DO LOOK LOOK LOOK AT MEEEEEEEEEE thing but it was spectacular. Just dont make me watch the cutscenes ever again. Ever. I remember the eggs. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I was gonna write some massive wall of text that would undoubtedly denounce MGS2, 3 and 4 as the atrocities they truly are, but then I saw your comment referred to me as a Halo/COD player, and I realised you were just trollin', as you're more of a Halo/COD player than I am.

Well played, son.
