Did anyone else have these as a kid?

My gawd it played like crap and you couldn't read how many lives you had on your eye when you were outside...but OH MAH GAWD...SEGA LASER!!!

Also just looking at it now makes me want one so I can pretend to be a Saiyan and determine one's power level.

Might eBay that shit for giggles.

I remember the commercial for this. A friend had 2 sets and we played a lot. I recall they released a bot that walked around and shot at you, too? Or was that a clone game? Because I think someone made something very similar, LaserSquad, VR-Squad or something like that.

May have been a clone.

I read some specs on it. I nostalgia'd and realised how bad it was. The weight of the headband was fucked up and slanted.. could never get the headset to rest properly..was actually a pain to try and use hahahaha.

yeah, I remember there was no headset but some kind of target you had to wear on your waist in the clone. It was actually pretty lame too, because you could just keep the device in cover while heads and arms were free to look anywhere & shoot without fear of getting hit yourself. At least in the Sega version you could get hit when taking a peek around a corner. lol.

By the way, it's pretty expensive on eBay.

For reals? I might have to do a bit of a dig when I go visit my mum. See if we didn't throw them out. Awesome!!!!

OH MY GOD I HAD THE MARK 1s

Actually years go when me and my brother were kids, we had something way more oldschool.

They also came with a huge bulky helmet too which also had a sensor on it. The guns plugged into the chest piece, the chest piece plugged into the helmet. The gun fired normally, and then button on the side was a reset switch. You had three lives. Don't get hit, basically.

It was so cool but I always wished I had more friends who had more sets.
You could buy green or red sets.

Oh yeah, the thing on the back of the gun was a life count for you, and also there was a sensor on the very end of the gun too. so you could get shot in the chest, on the gun, or in the head. pretty bitchin' huh?

Ax and myself had some serious times with this bad boy when we were kids. my father was caretaker of a big grammar school and on the weekend he let us in when it was all empty and we went nuts with this mother fucker, great days indeed.

Innit. One time Auss and I were kicking ass, and taking names. One time I snuck round like a motherfucker, clocked his ass, went on to the path by the rode, and whilst prone, snuck all the way up past him, into some bushes, and shot that biyatch like it weren't no thing. I was the fucking king.

He then told me it was because he found some porn mags which he was reading. He let me take them home and whilst fapping away, noticed the pages were sticky (not from Auss). I didn't realise what that shit was till I was older. My cousin Gather nicked them a week later, I bet he thought I'd stickied them.

Anyway yeah, Lock-on rocks!!!
