So what did you guys think?
A shitton of game announcements, and a neat promise of updated features go nicely together.
I was initially 'meh' about the event, but the post conference news really drew me in.

As for neat goodies, we're getting updated spotpass/streetpass features, as well as an updated eShop and Mii Plaza soon.
On top of that, 3D Video is hitting Japan in November.
Also, on September 28, Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition will be hitting DSiWare and the 3DS eShop for free!

Though there were a fair few things missing, I got my daily dose of SAKURAI for today.
At the end of Kid Icarus' post-conference show... The logo at the end began fizzing out, and these popped on screen for a few seconds...

A lot of people are speculating that they're smash bros teasers, but they could be damn near anything. What do you guys make of it?

EDIT - More mysterious imagery

The only thing I found interesting was the Skyward Sword footage. That game looks like a lot of fun.

skyward sword looks fucking badass.

I definitely want Super Mario Land 3D, Paper Mario 3DS, Kid Icarus 3DS, Luigi's Mansion 2.

that new Brave fairy RPG from square enix,

Disregarding all the spelling errors, Bravely Default has the most retarded title ever.
After a bit of convincing from a friend, I've gotten over how it uses the same fucking art style as the Final Fantasy DS ports. :I

Also, I'm glad to be reassured that the circle pad attachment isn't necessary, but I might just pick it up anyway.
I want to try out Monster Hunter, and I hear that the extra circle pad gives the game a bit of a boost, but it would probably be more worth it to skip over the port and wait for 4... I also hear that it's compatible with Metal Gear, which is nice... Not too sure if I'm sold on Metal Gear though...

As for Mario Kart and Tennis, I love both series to death, but I don't think I'm shelling out money for em just yet. I'll wait a while.

Mario 3D Land looks fucking nice, but I can't seem to get over my attachment to Kid Icarus and Luigi's Mansion. Those are the big two for me.

There's also Skyward Sword (which seemed out of place here, but I'm not complaining), which is pretty much destined to be the greatest Zelda ever made. The dude who directed the oracle games has the helm on this, and I remember reading somewhere that the whole team is full of fresh devs who have grown up with Zelda. Some input from people who were fans just might make this the greatest thing ever... Also, return of the double clawshot: DO WANT.

I'm also rather hyped up for Animal Crossing. This seems to make up for the nothing that City Folk added to the series. A shitton of polish, a slew of new features, and a completely overhauled game. This time, YOU'RE THE FUCKING MAYOR. On top of that, you can impale your friends with fishing rods and drag them out of the ocean!

Lastly, I'm all over the Zelda: 4 Swords thing. It'll be free up until February 12, or somewhere around there. I'm gonna scoop that up and try to get a few friends together to play that shit. Unfortunately, there's no online play D:

As seen by the picture, swimming. We're also getting the ability to further customize our housing and characters with the addition of pants and exterior design. We'll also be able to decorate the walls, and move the camera around and about, to get more control over how your house looks.

In this game, you'll also be playing the part of mayor, which will definitely be interesting. There are also new plants and town elements such as lamp posts, benches, shrubbery, wells, and the lot. There's also the obvious, and long overdue, graphical overhaul that's been given to the game. There has also been a confirmation that we'll be getting some neat spotpass/streetpass features, which are more than welcome in my book.

Town layouts are also being changed a bit, so now you're not in a closed off crater with a small beach on the bottom. With the addition of swimming, there are going to be bits in the ocean that you can explore... Take a look at this concept map.

By the looks of it, they took the border-line useless city part of City Folk and just tossed it into town, which is a smart move. It adds a lot to the town, and doesn't make that 'city' look like a small shithole :I

I also know that Tom Nook has been seen walking the town, so he might play a bit more of a part than just a shopkeep this time around (though he IS still a shopkeep).

Keep in mind that there's still probably a ton more that we don't know about, but that in itself makes me want the game.
