The slide pad looks kinda funky, but if it comes with the game then I will gladly accept it.

Man, people were shitting entire cities of bricks when this first got released.
I wasn't insanely happy with it at first, until I found out exactly what it was.
It's not something that's gonna be required for people, it was just something that was requested and made... Kinda like the Classic Controller Pro for the Wii. Not necessary, but it's there.

To be honest, I might get this hunk of shit anyways, because I've wanted to try Monster Hunter for quite some time.... And as it looks, 3DS is the system that I'll probably be getting neat new experiences on. 3D without glasses, my first street fighter game, first Monster Hunter, etc.

That being said, if Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney doesn't make the jump (which it probably will, but in the off-chance it doesn't), there WILL be hell to pay.

and are you suprised? this is capcom were talking about, the "we hate you if you dont play fighting and/or zombie survival games" capcom. theres a topic on their website asking for AAI2 thats at 240 pages AND THEYRE STILL SAYING NO!!!

The thing is, Capcom said that they didn't have plans to localize Monster Hunter 3 either and that acme state side.

At this point who knows. Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright games sell at least decently here, bringing both together would be a buy.
