They're probably just playing hard to get. Haven't they been releasing all of the Layton games as well as the Phoenix Wright games here? I don't see why this would be an exception.

capcom dosent consider phoenix wright as good as street fighter or mega man. that might be why

Remember how much these places need the money right now? The exchange rate isn't good for Japan, so a big game like this is something they can't afford to neglect.

Capcom is actually very in-tune with its community, especially with the existence of Capcom-Unity.
Not only this, but I don't think you get what I meant by Tatsunoko vs Capcom (or TvC, which I'll use to refer to said game).
TvC is definitely a good example here, because Tatsunoko isn't very well known, if at all known, in the USA. You may say, "Oh hurrr but capcom durrrr ryu and megaman durrrr!" What I have in reply to that? Stop being ignorant. The biggest reason that it came to the USA was the fan response.

Now, according to your logic, Capcom wouldn't go through the trouble of porting it over, because Tatsunoko is very very unknown company around here. May I remind you that the rights for the characters in that game, on the Tatsunoko side, belonged to thirteen different companies within the USA.

Sound like a licensing nightmare yet? Well Capcom went through all of this, and only lost ONE character (who wasn't very much admired, might I add). Why go through all of that licensing bullshit for characters who are virtually unknown? Because Capcom knows that it will sell. Now here's where I'll shed light on my main point.

Phoenix Wright sells moderately well in the USA. How can I say this? Because Capcom wouldn't have ported the many sequels/spinoffs, and they wouldn't have ported the game to Wiiware internationally.

Professor Layton also sells moderately well in the USA. Now how can I say this? Same shit, it sold well enough to justify putting the sequels out to market.

With this in mind, give me one legitimate, detailed, and plausible reason why Capcom wouldn't port this game to the USA at some point in time. It has more than enough potential to sell well, as well as TWO entire fanbases to cheer it on. Your move. :3c

I'm inclined to believe that they're just building up hype, and saying that a crossover of two popular franchises isn't coming to the US is definitely one way to do that.

Hell, a large amount of companies have claimed that titles wouldn't be shipped about, but it's all a matter of reading into the text.
No CURRENT plans. That's the same thing as saying "That's not on the cards right now..." during an interview. This means that it's entirely up for question and, judging by my earlier points about the two games, we're very likely to see this title in the future. Maybe not at launch, or even within the launch window, but we'll see it.
