^I don't really like nicknaming my pokemon.
I don't remember doing it in yellow or gold. Apparently I did in in my Crystal version, and I named a few pokemon in the very beginning of diamond. I like keeping the original names. :\
Anyways. I'm just gonna put my current team here and keep editing this post with updates every once in a while.
All 16 badges. Beat Red.

Typhlosion - 54
Pidgeot - 53
Feraligatr - 54
Raikou - 49 (he was away for a while)
Mudkip - 5
Charmander - 5

Got me some Kanto and Hoenn starters from Oak and Steven respectively. Time to train. :3

Just to let you all know, I highly recommend against using the PokeWalker early on when leveling your Pokemon. My Slowpoke leveled up to 15 on the PokeWalker, and because of it he didn't learn Confusion, which is a rather crucial move for him early on in the game.

Moral of the story is, if your Pokemon is going to learn a crucial move, DON'T put them in the PokeWalker.

I only carry around my Togepi in the PokeWalker, which is why it's level 2 when I said I wasn't gonna train it yet, if at all.
And Togepi doesn't learn anything decent for a while anyway, so...yeah.

And balls, is EVERYONE using a Slowpoke this run-through? I was trying to be original amongst my friends, trying not to use Pokemon they were(except for Ampharos, but Ampharos is freaking amazing and I would never NOT use him), and so instead of Red Gyarados, or Remoraid, or whatever, I decided I'd get a Slowpoke.

And now everyone else has one, and they got theirs before I did.
FEELS BAD MAN.

I actually thought the same thing. I've never used one before, but Slowbro is an amazing Pokemon. Slowking is meh.

The reason I love Slowbro so much is because he can learn Amnesia, which is really a phenomenal addition to his already amazing defense stat. The only major differences between Slowking and Slowbro and the switch between Sp. Defense and Defense. Slowbro makes up with that because of Amnesia, but Slowking gets Nasty Plot, which can be pretty sweet.

I feel like someone forgot to tell me that U-Turn is now a 100% accuracy OHKO move before I took on Bugsy. I checked my email, in case Nintendo sent out a memo, but no luck.

So much truth...
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the new character design is awful.

OK so Heru, does using the pokewalker mean they don't learn their moves as they level? For example:

If Ghastly learns Nightshade by level 15, and I use the walker to level him from 14 to 15, he will not get the opportunity to learn this move?

Does this also apply to pokemon levelled by the day-care centre? And if they do learn the moves at the day-care centre, how does the system determine which previous move to forget?

faaaaark gotta find another ghastly...
