My interest in a Wii-U just went up, because Pac-Man.

I could have sworn I posted this in the Digital Event thread, guess not.

I would have thought that Bayonetta 2 (+ digital copy of original) would have been a selling point for you.

It is, but this just raised my interest further.

Dude this E3 should have made you wanted to get a Wii U.

One and a half games do not sell a console.

Bayonetta 2 and Pac-Man being in Fisticuffs are the only reasons I would go near a Wii-U.

Fuck your new Zelda, fuck your Mario, and especially fuck your Pokemon. Not interested in those things in the slightest, because I haven't been 11 for 24 years.

You did.
Also, MANY more people were pushing for 2Pac, if only because Bamco have been code monkeys for this installment.

Seriously though. Mario vs Sonic vs Megman vs Pacman.
There's already footage of it, and it's fantastic.

My interest in LBP lay mainly in the build-it-yourself element, as it requires massive brains and oodles of imagination. ;)

They've got something similar in the works with that game made by the Mario level designers. I only heard about it on a podcast, so I'm fuzzy on the details, but it sounds like it's LBP with Nintendo characters.

Anyone want to hit me up with some details so I can retract my previous statement?

Mario Maker doesn't go nearly as in-depth as LBP.
It's essentially the RPG-Maker for side-scrolling Mario games.

It seems to have a simple interface, and allows for testing and editing on the fly. It also lets you switch between 8 bit graphics, and New Super Mario Bros graphics.
Unfortunately, details go only as far as the trailer that we've seen. I'm not sure if they played it at the Treehouse Event at all. I doubt I'll pick it up, but it's still a fantastic idea for all those who've been begging for a 'Custom Mario Tool'. I know it was a widely requested feature in most games, so I think this can strike gold if they sell it as a standalone download for like ~$15.

Yea, it is not as extensive as Little Big Planets creative tools, but what they have shown looks promising. It has been played at the Nintendo Treehouse. Our own resident "Nintendawg" is slacking in his duties.

Not in this video, but it has been confirmed that there will be more graphical styles than OG Super Mario Bros and New Super Mario Bros Wii U. There will also be more customization than just World 1-1.

There has to be a Super Mario World aesthetic. I will buy it in a heart beat if there is.

So that does look pretty cool, but all I see is a million SMB HD levels. Still not enough to get me moist, but it is cool.
