Don't really see what the issue is here. They made a cheaper system for people who want a cheaper system. Its here no for 80 quid and simply is there for Nintendo to still make cash on a system from people who don't want to buy it preowned for 70 quid.
No advertising, no push. The removed functions save them cash on production, the only issues I can see is if they don't adequately communicate changes to consumers.
