Oh hi Nintendo, how nice of you to use the global standard for video games.

What I find funny is how people are throwing a massive bitch fit over the controller. It mimics the 360 controller, the analog layout is stupid, etc. But to me it looks fine. I like having options.

My thoughts, exactly.

Dear Nintendo.

Your most successful consoles had a standard controller and fucktons of games.

Your least successful consoles had stupid-ass controllers and hardly any decent games.

Its not fucking rocket science, but just in case you can't get at what I'm saying, stop pumping out all these different stupid-ass controllers, stick with just one standard, non-gimmicky controller, and give us some fucking games already.

You're on the right track Nintendo, now let's see some solid third party support and some new first party games. I love Zelda and Mario, but I've played about 20 games from each of those franchises. Something new please.

That's what I'm afraid is going to happen, but I have high hopes, especially considering they've announced this controller so early.

I think the traditional controller is, as much or more about attracting 3rd parties than anything. Provide that type of controller, and people will buy it to play the traditional type games. It's an easy sell IMO. If they really want 3rd parties on board though, they should take a loss on the controller and pack in with the system (won't happen, but should).

I'm quite happy to see how heavily it has borrowed from the 360 controller (IMO, the best controller design gaming has seen to date).

I genuinely no longer care about Nintendo any more, Mario, Zelda, whatever, just doesn't excite me any more.

I must say, I agree on Mario, but I still personally get very exited for new Zelda games.
