Remember that French website that has regularly in the past leaked information that has later been seen to be true? Well, its at it again, this time with the Nintendo WiiU.

If you're getting excited about this... thing, then I strongly recommend NOT clicking this link.

well that's what you get when you try and reuse the ductape that was holding those gamecubes together, it just loses its stick after a while.

I think that saying 'It outright isn't working' would be an exaggeration, but you can never really know at this point. I know that there's a shred of truth in those stories, if only because there have been confirmed reports of the devkits using tethered controllers....

With that in mind, however, there were working tech demos at E3 that had the wireless versions. That's the one thing that'll keep me from believing EVERY word of that story. It wouldn't surprise me that Nintendo's in hot water though.

The 3DS pushes away consumers, and it's been off to a bad start. To top that off, they haven't exactly been kind to their WiiU devs. The original devkit, before the controller was revealed, looked like a fucked up gameboy. I've also heard that Nintendo just keeps updating the devkits and sending em out, which seems like it would disorient devs, but I can't find any concrete evidence on that one.

The thing about Nintendo, is despite any craziness like this, is they'll just dump out some dynamite titles and rally some die-hard fans to keep em afloat... It's odd.

While I don't think that stuff like this can result in a 'Nintendo is finished' scenario, I think a few more slip-ups could make that more of a reality than we think... On the flip-side, I don't recall ever hearing this much inside news about Nintendo leaking out... Maybe they're always in a state of panic, and we never hear about it
