I don't see a problem with a site collecting data if all they're collecting is info on which parts of their site I'm visiting. I'm assuming it's the equivalent of Amazon giving recommendations based on the things you've already searched there.

There's still a hearty difference between Sony's info(everything needed to steal your identity p much), and Ninty's info(what you click on their site).

It's basically, like the quote says, basically just what Amazon does. No big deal.

And even then, it's just Club Nintendo, which is just a place to get free shit.

Does this qualify? Dunno how concrete it is, but it sure seems to indicate that Sony was holding their end up, certainly more so than a lot of people claim.

It looks compelling, that Sony were using Apache 2.2.17 but what about the dude posting nmap scans of supposed PSN servers? I don't know the validity of the scans but if they are genuine, they tell a different story to the one told by Google's cache.

The current version of apache seems 2.3.11 ( date 2011-04-19 )

There are servers running 2.2.10 in that nmap log, but seems CDN servers, and I have choosed to ignore then.

Conclusion:

Is true that auth.np.ac.playstation.net was running a modern version of Apache. But the server Login, Account, Commerce,Auth, Store, RC Store and Native were running a version from 2008.
