Hate to be the naysayer, but I'm not seeing a whole lot that impresses me with Red Steel 2 so far. It just doesn't seem to be using WiiMotion+ to it's full potential. The reason being, it's in a first person perspective. Because of this all you really see is a line going across screen. An accurate line (according to your motion), but still just a line. If it had been from third person you could actually see your arm and sword following your exact movements.

All of that said, I am still intrigued by the game and am definitely liking the art style. At this point, I'm really hoping to be proven wrong. I want the best for this game. I really do.

(I don't have much to say about the original, since I never played it)

Dude. You see the hand and the sword and everything.
Watch the developer walkthrough from e3 09 on youtube. When he first pulls out the sword he twists his wrist around a bit before swinging, and you see the sword doing the respective movements.
It's 1:1 and you SEE THE SWORD. Not just the white line like in the first game. :3
I wuff this gaem.

^ I understand that, and it's cool, but that's not what I'm saying. Yeah, it's cool to see your hand move in response to your own motions, but I'd like to see the hands and limbs and sword ALL move when attacking. I don't think you watched the video close enough. It does once again become a line. Watch closely.



The problem is, the tech is there, but it's just the perspective that's hurting it. Over the shoulder could help it out tremendously in my opinion.

How much does it cost to get a whole nintendo controller now? ie the mote nunchuck and wiiplus thingy?
Im not sure but my bros break all the time and he takes good care of them....

And the wii in general sucks balls, excluding zelda taht was an excellent game

First of all...$80 total. Yeah, it's a crapload.

Second, if you think Zelda was an excellent game, there are plenty of other titles out there that are much better.

Smash Bros Brawl. Improved upon everything melee did right. Along with a half baked online mode, and a halfway fun story mode. Along with a massive amount of extras
