2 weeks in America without a VC game how odd

if it's not dead it should be along with everything else Wii related. Lucky for all you people that still buy crap for yours though that you can now spend another $80 on accessories.

what accessories has sony brought out that are necessary to play the games that come out for the system?

Well Eyetoy for one....

Sixaxis controller (Lair FTL) which inevitably went obsolete due to the Duelshock 3

Have to buy the HDMI cable separately, seriously an HD console that doesn't even have Component cables.

and they will be making their own Wii remote.

eyetoy is not a necessity. sixaxxis controllers still work. you just don't get rumble (big deal). HDMI cables cost $10 and also are not a necessity (wii doesn't come with component cables).

Eyetoy is a necessity for certain games that require it.

Sixaxis controllers don't even work, can't even put in decent motion controls. At least the Wii works when developers actually put thought into it. I like having feedback, so rumble is a must. HDMI cables cost 10 bucks plus tax for only a 6 foot cable, and in LA tax is 10.25 percent so its still expensive. The way I have my setup, I need a longer cable.

Wii isn't HD.
