That is just fucking God awful, I feel terrible for Rockstar, they really made an awesome top down GTA. Shame this was Cooking Mama in Chinatown, shit woulda sold a million!

GTAs have always had a slow burn, this is a surprise though.

Gonna have to activate my flame shield for this, but its the fucking DS. Its been flooded with so many piss-poor, z-list, third party abominations that proper gamers have either given up on it (much like the Wii) or are only keeping theirs for the countless rehashes of Pokemon.

The game might be awesome, but the fact is, they picked the wrong console for it.

Which is a shame, cos I hear great things about this game.

Think the problem may lie in a total lack of overlap between traditional GTA and DS players. On the whole established franchises do okay on the DS because people gravitate towards what they know, but many DS gamers are not as familiar with the GTA's.

Nothing to do with half of us.

I'm with you there Blokeh, RS took a huge gamble making a GTA game on a child's toy.

The thing is, the DS could have been so much more awesome. Way back when, there were games like Super Mario DS, Animal Crossing Wild World, Mario Kart DS, Metroid Prime Hunters, and loads more. It was a viable machine! Then it just got flooded with casualplay shite, and the system got carried along with it.

Its like Jessica Alba (I've been watching the Fantastic Four movies lately....).

She's a pretty tasty looking woman. Imagine if you knew her at school. She was hot, she was nice, she was pretty much everything you wanted. Then she starts working her way through the pants of all the guys on the football team, then the hockey team, then the basketball team, then the local homeless people....

She still looks pretty damn hot, but bitch be spoiled goods.

That, my friends, is what the DS is today.

I have to call shenanigans on how the DS isn't a viable platform. There are way too many good games out on the market that has appeal to that of the hardcore gamer, it's far from being a child's toy.

Castlevania Order of Ecclesia, Bleach DS 2, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Suikoden, Valkarie Profile, and much much more.

Hell, maybe GTA bombed because it was a "inferior" game. Why pay 30 bucks for a game that doesn't have fancy graphics. AH DURF GTA 4 LUKS PURDY. Hell, I didn't get Chinatown Wars because GTA has been the same shit for awhile now. It is always go to point A, kill an enemy, go to point B and repeat.

Agreed, but for every awesome game, there are 12 shitty games. Which is my point.

The only reason I still love my DS is because I don't look at the ads anymore to see what latest games came out. I already know it's gonna be shovelware. I don't want.

I would have the same attitude but I've never been a fan of Nintendo anyway.
