couple things

I said the graphics are horrible for 2 reasons, you can tell they tried really hard to make this a visually stunning experience, and every review I've seen on this game says the graphics are great.

I know Zelda has never had voice acting but why not now when media has the storage to do it? And no other Zelda game has had more annoying sounds from the characters. I could put up with no sounds at all or the occasional yell from Link as he is fighting, but they just went overboard with how annoying this game is.

So your two reasons for hating the graphics are because...
1) "you can tell they tried really hard to make this a visually stunning experience"
2) "very review I've seen on this game says the graphics are great"
You're not very good at this, are you? lol

Then it wouldn't be keeping true to the Zelda stereotype.

Nothing is worse than the sounds and voice acting from the CD-i games. I know, I have 2 of them lol.

The power of mute grants your wish of putting up with no sounds at all.

I wasn't bothered by the jibber jabber of the characters, because I hear it all the time from previous titles and other franchises (Golden Sun, lately). After hearing it for so many years, it doesn't bother me at all.

Well, it's not like Nintendo is really worried about preserving that. If they wanted to stick with the real Zelda stereotype, they would have kept the number of NPCs (except for the baddies) to an incredibly bare minimum, not even gone with the wolf shtick, ditched Midna and the extra suits, and probably gone back to MIDI soundtracks and 16-bit graphics or some shit. Miyamoto hasn't been interested in preserving a stereotype in a long time, not since Nintendo Sixty FOOOOOOUUUUUURRRRRR, at least. I think voice acting would be a nice change. It'd certainly be better than the single groan, moan, grunt, or other form of primitive communication that is generally INCREDIBLY annoying.

Staying true to the roots is vastly overrated. You do that, and the franchise will die as the fanbase dies. In order to bring in new blood, you've gotta innovate. Personally, I've had it with mute protagonists. When that trend began, it was due to tech restraints, but those aren't a factor anymore, so why bother with it anymore?

Yes, those are my 2 reasons and they happen to be quite valid. I'm sorry you think the graphics are good.

When exactly was it said that all Zelda games have to be the same? STFU and go play Zelda 2 then come talk to me.

Opinions, we have them

Mute would get rid of all sound. That doesn't help me. Please think before typing. Also, I'm glad you weren't bothered by the annoying sounds. Go write your own perspective about it.

I think he meant you can mute the noises that come from the Wiimote as you play.

If I'm right, and if you're unsure how to do it, hit the HOME button, and turn the Wiimote volume down.

I got about 10 minutes in before I did that.

no, he meant muting the tv as my annoyance was to the overall sound fx and not just the noises coming from the wiimote.

As dumb as his reason is, I think I understand what he means.
Fanboy, I think you're taking what people say out of context. When reviewers say "great" graphics. They mean for what the Wii can do. You obviously can't make anything look pretty on the Wii COMPARED TO TODAYS STANDARDS.

Your two reasons mean this, and correct me if I'm wrong.

1- You can tell they really tried with the graphics, but it falls desperately short because of the Wii's shortcomings, which is Nintendo's fault. And although you would normally give them credit despite the fact that the subpar graphics are their fault...
2 - Reviewers still congratulated the graphics even though they're as good as the PS2, if not, worse.

Am I right? Just a guess/response.
