I am not a fan of the genre at all, and even I enjoy Halo 3's multiplayer. As far as I'm concerned, that's the gold standard.

I think we can just sum this up as, good for the fans who want to play it on a better platform and meh to anyone who's been playing PC shooters since before XBL was a thing.

It's not "officially announced" but the steam group is the "official group," not a user-made one. Meaning the staff made it. Meaning they're complete dicks or Halo 3 is coming to Steam.
