I used to use the arrow keys but I've recently converted. WASD is easily the best method.

WASD FTW! There used in my favorite game Soldier Front.

WASD is the way to go, I can't imagine playing Half Life 2 or TF2 with the arrow keys.

Arrow keys are for spreadsheets. WASD beats them for gaming for one reason; there are other keys in close proximity.

WASD = movement
Q = prev weapon (if wheelmouse unavailable)
E = next weapon (if wheelmouse unavailable)
LSHIFT = crouch
R = jump
F = use object

No way! E = use. You sneaky bastard.. R = reload and SPACE = jump. What's wrong with people these days?? F is flashlight.

WASD = Movement
Left Ctrl = Crouch
Left Shift = Sprint
Q / E = Next/Previous Weapon
T / Y = Chat/Team Chat
1,2,3,4,5 etc = Quick Weapon Swap
Tab = Show Multiplayer Scores
F = Flashlight
G = Gravity Gun
` = Console

Valve does everything right.

10 key kicks the shit out of wasd.

8 - forward
7 - strafe left
9 - strafe right
5 - back
2 - use
3 - switch weapon
1 - drop weapon
/ - reload
* - display score
4 and 6 - whatever you want
enter - duck
+ - jump
- - talk

and the keys aren't layered, they are all lined up for you

10 keys = lefty's only

arrows = retro quake/doom moments

WASD = Like garlic bread "the future"

why would 10 key be for leftys only? just slide your keyboard over. I use my left hand on the 10 key and right hand on the mouse.

cos if I slide my keyboard over it falls on the floor, which is no good unless you've got 1 arm like Mr Tickle.
