Nah it's just different from Console gaming.

You can completely open up your PC games if you have the time and resources. Like me, making my own game n stuff.

Plus there are games on there that you cant get anywhere else. Like Stalker (i still think that could be put on the xbox or playstation), Spore, sims (yeah I know but some people like it) and all sorts of free games too.
I think with PC gaming, people concentrate everything around the game. Console games are usually much more polished and concentrate on the game itself. I prefer consoles. I think.

It doesn't fail hard, but it's definitely not as good an consolan. I like being able to boot in 10 seconds, not having to deal with Windows, always knowing that the hardware works perfectly without getting drivers, configuring games and shit, etc. I also like how it's extremely unified. One interface for dealing with friends, etc. PC gaming is good for mods, piracy and some other shit. It also has better gfx and costs much more (don't try to argue that plox). But I'm just too lazy to want to deal with all unwanted shit that comes with PC gaming. With a console, every game runs as intended on your hardware, and when I'm playing on my 32" LCD I don't really care if the anisotropic filtering could be better.

My only beef with PC gaming is the whole "in order to play this game you need a PC with the power to reverse time" style requirements that increase with every single release.

At least with the consoles you're not having to pay out for a new machine or new components each time you buy a game.

Other than that, FPS games should ONLY be on PC, as mouse and keyboard is the way of the future. Unless the consoles support M+K, in that case its okay.

The only games I played on my PC are RTS games, cause of how superior the controls are.

I need a mouse and keyboard for RTS games and most FPS games - some I can play with a console controller, some I can't.

PC really excels on the games that people can mod for. Oblivion for the 360 is completely different to my PC copy of Oblivion. I think I've got around 200 mods installed...

I can speak from experience on this. A nice little example:

GTA San Andreas on PS2, gang wars, shooting each guy in the chest with an AK 4 times, taking fire.
GTA SA on PC, wave of 10 guys = 10 headshots.

With consoles you have to rely on the auto-lock feature which can remove a significant skill element from the game.

RTSs are definitely superior, Battle for Middle-Earth on the 360 is a drag, you just heap your army together and charge. On the PC version I can have multiple squads attacking on multiple points to hand the enemy some olde whoop-ass.

As much as I love my consoles, I seem to spend way more time gaming on my PC. And not just WOW.
