Nothing more than total and utter speculation at the moment, but damn, can you imagine the damage this will do to the competition?

Hell, there won't BE any competition...

It'll be a good thing for the Bone but I don't see it knocking out competition. Not now everyone's settled.

They've spoke about it before but if it DID get it, i doubt it'd be for a year at least.

Firstly, backwards compatibility is not a selling point for anyone.

Secondly, this is likely just a list of ports they'll be offering digitally.

Yeah, nobody buys a NEW console to play OLD games.

It's a nice bonus but barely a selling point.

Not a primary selling point, but I know that if I had a choice of hooking up three consoles to one TV in order to play my games, or just the one console to play them all (LOTR-style), then I would consider it a massive bonus to be able to do that. Hell, remember how much of an impact BC had with the PS2, and how everyone has cried out in anger whenever a console has come out after it that doesn't have BC?

If it isn't BC, then it's remastery of old titles. If it is either one of those two, then it's good news for MS.

If it's just remastering old titles, then Sony has nothing to worry about, given how far ahead of the game they are in that department.

That brings up another point, why would Microsoft implement backwards compatibility when they want to sell you copies of Halo: Master Chief collection?

X360 games still sell new, and some X360 owners desire better (and more) BC for their original Xbox games, so this would give them what they want while still making money from last gen games.

Man, if they made a diskless xbone in white with no kinect and it has backwards compatibility. I would get one.

1) I don't think you would.

2) If it was disc-less, any backwards compatibility would be through repurchasing everything again through Xbox themselves. Do you know how much they charge for games?

It's only one game: Barbie Horse Adventures.
