Because I personally don't want to see Ax leave, and I'm also a big fan of the Xbox One, I present The Zero PS Faggotry Xbox One Thread. This thread is safe haven to talk about the Xbox One without the snide remarks of other threads. This site is heavily Playstation Centric, and I think everyone should have somewhere they can discuss things they like without having to continually defend or listen to their opinions slagged.

So, with that said, I hope people can respect the idea behind this thread. And, I will try and be around to talk XB1 with Ax, if he's still around.

Okay, I think its about time me and Ax came clean.

That thread was an attempt at both creating some lulz and maybe even a bit more activity around this graveyard. Plus we was bored and wanted a giggle.

In fact, he saw what was to be posted before it was posted.

So yeah. Shenanigans all around.

So, to start using this thread.

Now, with some of the mandatory features, such as allowing the gamer to choose who he/she plays with, does anyone feel they would play games they wouldn't normally?

This will encourage me to play more competitive stuff, games where I have a fighting chance. I remember playing PGR3 when I got my 360 which out me against similarly skilled racers. Best online racing experience I've ever had.

Its not really a new thing, although historically speaking its been the games themselves that enable you to do this.

Street Fighter IV is a prime example, where you can select players of an equal or greater skill.

Built-in to the system, that's interesting.

Halo 3 let you choose a variety of options for opponents. Language, region, skill level, connection speeds, etc.

Yeah it was the games. Like I said, Project Gotham 3 had it. SF, Halo, they all have it. I bought CoD4 back in the day when it was becoming the new big thing. I enjoyed the single player enough to go through it once. I didn't enjoy the multiplayer. It was just people who have nothing better to do than play the game all day. I never got better because I didn't even know where to begin before getting killed with a single shot from some dude somewhere. When I played deathmatches with friends, I had a fucking blast.

But yeah the devs have to implement this, this time round. It will be tied to the console and your account.

Anyone tried to find a game on Street Fighter lately? Takes an age. Now you'll be able to happily wait for those games while doing something else. It will tell you when your game is ready and you can hop right in. This is what I'm most looking forward to. Among playing actual games obviously.

So yeah, CoD (more likely Battlefield, but maybe CoD) will be something I'll play more. But generally more competitive multiplayer. I always avoided it for the aforementioned reason but I'd like to play more. Just jump in and have fun.

Ironically I gave the example of Street Fighter earlier. Even though the new dpad is exactly what we need for fighting games, Playstation will always be the home of Street Fighter for me.
