XB1 no longer requires Kinect.

However, it still comes bundled with the console. How much further will they go? I think they've really hurt their image and even if they drop Kinect entirely, they won't see more than 50-60% of their expected sales.

These mother fuckers need to call it the Xbox 180.

Nothing but going back on their shit

I guess it is a good thing. I am still not sold on next gen systems.

Too late imo.

"Hey, pay us money to cut off your dick!

Wait wait wait, no, we promise we won't cut off your dick, we're just holding the knife cause it's comfortable, really. Please pay us."

I like how everyone bitched about EVERYTHING.

Then they bitch that Microsoft actually did what they bitched about.

Meanwhile, the people that were totally happy or actually hoping for some of the changes are the ones getting screwed.

Moral of the story:

If people are bitching at you like rabid sacks of shit, it doesn't matter if you appease them, 'cause they're not gonna be satisfied.

I'd rather have my entire game collection available from ANYWHERE (including friends houses) just by logging into my profile (yes, that included the disc games too), and being able to share my library with up to nine other people.

But hey, I can share shit with one friend as long as I buy the overpriced used disc at Gamestop.

The Xbox one controller will be PC compatible in 2014.

Wasn't that confirmed to be like a 5 minute trial?
99% sure it was.

Also, you can still access disk-based games at a friend's house by, y'know, taking it over, like literally every other console has done in recorded history...right?

No.

Some guy who apparently works at MS said this once. Microsoft confirmed nothing.

Yeah you can. In fact you can't play it at a friend's house without taking it over anymore.

And yeah your friend to whom you're taking it to does need an internet connection in order for you to play your game at his. But ya know...who the fuck is gonna buy an X1 without a net connection?

In fact for me, this has all shown exactly how much the company is willing to change for the consumers. But haters won't see it like that, as they'll want to unite and berate the enemy console which they won't buy, and feel good about themselves.

"Fuck, I'll do that 180 joke again, hur hur hur".

Fucking internet. I hate you.

But I love you.

No, I don't think that's the case. They're changing to get consumers, but that's not the same as changing for consumers.
If they cared about consumers, they wouldn't have gone through every action possible to fuck them over short of a mandatory blood sample to start up a game.
No, they care about money. They figured they could fuck everyone over to appeal to devs and still get shittons of customers(which is a possibility I expressed a while back, "I hate this because it'll either fail and MS will probably drop out or because it will work and other companies will see they can fuck everyone over and still profit"), but when they saw that wasn't the case, they backpedaled like fuck.

I don't like supporting companies who like spitting in the face of their customers--and no amount of OH FUCK WE'RE GONNA LOSE, CHANGE STRATEGY will change the fact that they did spit in the faces of their potential customers. I'm sure other people feel the same. That's why I think it's too late.

If you don't feel the same about their actions, well, I'm happy for you, your world seems like a better place than mine, but the majority's against you, and you can't just disregard them all as "haters."

Yeah, 'cause connecting to the internet once a day is entirely unreasonable.

I have an idea.

Make 2 SKUs. One with all the neat sharing features and better game library setup, and the other with all those features removed (it's current state).

Guarantee you the former far outsells the latter due to the fact that the people crying about shit aren't gonna buy one regardless. At least that way I can enjoy shit without dealing with the bullshit (that's right, it's the OTHER WAY AROUND). I was more than ready to progress to an age where I can stream my game library anywhere, and wouldn't have to hear as much crying about piracy, or gamestop, or used games, or modders/cheaters online, or other shit gamers/publishers cry about.

It's like people complaining that their phone's GPS tracks their location, raising a big stinking internet shit on it, and then bitching that they can't use the "Find my Phone" feature when their phone gets stolen.

Yeah but that feature is free. If Microsoft was in charge of that they would make you pay for gold to be able to have access to that feature. Just like you need gold to use any of the new features on the xbox one. Source. It is dumb to pay $60 bucks a year to use skype, netflix, the game DVR, Etc... when you can use a PC/ phone for skype for free, use a PC/4G phones/Wii and Wii U/ and a PS3/PS4 to watch netflix for free, and the PS4 has its game DVR service for free. Hell, the PS4 even has party chat so that will be like having skype on PS4.

PROGRESS!

You can already do the future list with Steam already. If they want to fix this for the future we all need to have a Gbps Internet connection and in order to do that the government or some company would have to fiber a whole country. The only company that has internet speeds that can support the future is South Korea.
