Has anyone played this mighty xbox game? It's fucking badass.

So you have a shop floor rented and you've borrowed $10,000 from the bank. What to do? Buy arcade machines!

The aim of the game is essentially to run a successful arcade. The game starts in 1980 and you buy some simple looking games ("Lunar Module" for example) and you earn money from those one or two cabinets to purchase more machines and pay rent etc.

IT'S FUCKING BOSS.

As time goes by and games become old, their popularity wanes and they make less money, especially if they release a home console version of this game. But if the cabinet is no longer on the market anymore, it becomes a classic and eventually makes more and more money (if you can stay afloat paying to maintain it until then).

You customise your arcade, you seasonally decorate and you can even get stay players to beat high scores, all to improve the popularity rating of the place. The higher that is, the more people come in to spend. All of this while making money, paying off a loan, paying rent, upgrading power to fit more machines, and making sure the layout is top notch.

What's also great is that all of the people who come into the arcade are your XBL friend's avatars. You can even kick them out if they cause trouble.

The detail of the cabinets are absolutely amazing, and as a gamer you'll love the blast from the past. If you're nerdy enough, you'll be figuring out what the games are supposed to be the real life counterpart to, and same with the manufacturers.

Some negative points is that the game is only very short, maybe about 6-10 hours play. This would be worse if the game wasn't an Indie game (that's right) at 240 points (about £2, if that). But, the website of Firebase mention loads of updates coming, and I'm looking forward to seeing them (apparently going well into the nineties).

Anyway, just thought I'd share the love. Really had a blast with this, and it's seriously worth a go.
