Not quite sure whats happening, as the only official response reads like an "out of office" reply, but it appears if you've downloaded the free Halo 4 map pack, you run the risk of getting kicked and banned from some online features.

It's also worth noting, that they'll ban you from Halo 4 multi for at least 15 minutes if you quit too many matches before they're over. It counts as a loss on you record when you quit, and if you do it all the time you won't be playing much. I'm sure some of the reports of being banned for the maps were just stupid people, too.

I actually like those maps.

IMO, 6v6 is perfect. The 8v8 maps are too fucking big.

Aren't the bigger ones basically meant for objective types like CTF and all that?

The only 8v8 option I saw was Big Team Slayer. Everybody plays this shit like Call of Duty and try to pick you off from way the fuck on the other side. I tend to play Dominion because of that; everyone is so close together.
