If you have a LIVE account (unsure if it applies to Silver, sorry), and you have it set to receive emails and promos about LIVE from Microsoft, check your email.

In the most recent email detailing the release of Xbox Music, there's a code for 1000 MS Points (about $12.50).

Between stuff like this and the MS Points I get from Bing and Xbox LIVE Rewards, I've received at least 5000 MS Points so far this year (around $40).

Not a bad gig at all.

You know what 20 points can get you? Nothing. Everything is in 120+ increments.

I think 80 MSP is the lowest you'll find something on Live. Gamerpic packs for older games or Rock Band Network songs.

20 points is the 'Birthday Reward' for XBL Rewards? Really? That's disappointing.

Ah well, not gonna stop me from getting more free MS Points.


Also, for the 1000 MS Points in the e-mail, I suspect you need to had opted-in for the Emails from Microsoft in your account settings. Don't expect to get it retroactively, either.

Edit: NEVERMIND PEOPLE! I did some more digging, and it's an e-mail that was only sent out to Zune Pass subscribers.

At least something good came out of owning a Zune for once.
