Okay, I've recently started playing my 360 more on my Fallout 3 playthrough, and I've been thinking of trying the Halo: Reach campaign after that. Since I might be getting some extra money soon, I wanted to know if there was anything on the 360 that I should check out. I already have each of the Halo games, and I have no interest whatsoever in Gears.

Okay, go.

Alan Wake (Wonderful narrative to a pseudo survival horror/action game)
Tales of Vesperia (JRPG that I think you've already played)
Bayonetta (It might as well be 360 exclusive... >_>)
Forza 3 or 4 (If you like racing games)
Deathsmiles (Shmup)
Deathsmiles 2x (Games on Demand, in Japanese, shmup)
Trouble Witches NEO! (Shmup)
Splinter Cell: Conviction (Not as good as Chaos Theory in terms of stealthy gameplay, but great, and the co-op is fantastic)
Radiant Silvergun (Shmup)
ilomilo (Teamwork Puzzle)
Bangai-O HD (dunno if exclusive, kinda shmup)
Marathon: Durandal (if you want a real old-school FPS like Halo)
Guwange (Shmup)
Shadow Complex (Metroidy-style gameplay thing from EPIC)
FunTown Mahjong (only if you know/want to learn how to play real Mahjong, not that solitaire shit).
Viva Pinata (Yeah, I said it)
Viva Pinata Trouble In Paradise (shut up, these games are fucking great.)
The Maw (Just, kinda... neat)
Schizoid (Dunno if exclusive, crazy mind game)
Triggerheart Excelica (shmup)
Prey (was Prey exclusive, can't remember...?)
Dead or Alive 4 (best in the series)
Sneak King (Splinter Cell + The Burger King + Implied Rape = This game)
Dead Rising 1 (Love it)
Condemned 1 (First person melee mindfuck)
Amped 3 (The greatest snowboarding game ever made)

Eh, never could get into the Dead Rising games. I've played both of 'em, but couldn't finish 'em. I do have Vesperia, and it's awesome. Alan Wake is something that interested me, so I'll have to check that out, and I've heard many tales of the adorable wonderment to be had in Viva Pinata, so I'll almost have to get that. I might get Splinter Cell if I can find it really cheap, and I'm gonna get The Maw when I redeem my Live code from Raptr. The rest of that kinda ranges from meh to DO NOT WANT.

Arcade games:

The misadventures of PB Winterbottom
Castle Crashers (I think it's on ps3 now though)
Teenage mutant ninja turtles: the arcade game

I love these games

Can't wait for BattleBlock Theater

Yeah, PB Winterbottom is the shit.

Also, be careful with Viva Pinata, it's literally one of those games where you look at the clock and freak out 'cause 6 hours have passed.

Definitely check out Alan Wake. And You should be able to find Splinter Cell for about $15 somewhere.

Prey: Very unique FPS. This game was thinking with portals long before portal was released. On top of portals you also mess around with gravity and explore a gigantic and horrifying alien ship. Also, the first scene in the game... Still brings shivers to my spine.

Crackdown: You get super powers and are given free reign in the city to wipe out the widespread gang violence by any means necessary. Jump over buildings, throw cars, and basically smash the shit out of everything. Another great thing is that nothing is off-limits. You can go anywhere and do anything. You can complete your objectives in whatever order you wish. The freedom combined with just how goddamn fun it is makes this my favorite 360 game of all time. The sequel is pretty good too but the original is much better.

Alan Wake: This game is truly amazing. The story is full of great twists and you constantly feel like you're inside a Stephen King novel. It sucks you in and you have to keep playing.

Splinter Cell Conviction: This game really did a good job of updating the series. It's slightly more action-oriented than the other games and I think it's far better off this way. You still hide in the shadows and wait for the perfect time to strike, but it feels more natural and fluid. I began losing interest in Splinter Cell after the second game, and this one really brought it back for me.

ARCADE

Perfect Dark: All the greatness of the Nintendo Sixty FOOOOOOUUUUUURRRRRR game with revamped graphics. It's pure perfection in every way.

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet: You fly around an alien planet in a flying saucer and collect tools and weapons for your ship that allow you to progress further in the game. The gameplay is very similar to 2d Metroid games. Had a lot of fun with this one. Nice stylized graphics.

Geometry Wars 2: Massively addictive and fucking intense. Get the second one, it's got a lot more modes.

Shadow Complex: Think metal gear solid combined with 2d metroid. It's been a long time since I played it so I don't remember a lot of details, but I do remember that it was amazing.

Deadly Premonition. Think Twin Peaks the video game.

Though a DC is coming to the PS3.

Gears is okay.

True story: I cancelled my pre-order for it and got Sonic 2k6 instead. I don't regret a thing, 'cause Gears is only fun when playing with a full room of at least 8 people that are ALL friends, and seeing as none of my friends got into Gears, it wasn't that fun.

No, dude, I've had a 360 for going on forever now. I've played through the first Gears, and I played some of the second, but I just couldn't be bothered with finishing it or even starting the 3rd. I'm not a big shooter guy, and the whole dude-bro thing doesn't really appeal to me in the slightest (and yeah, it's still dude-bro even if you can play as a girl).

Well other than Halo, I really can't name any exclusives.

Check out Fallout New Vegas (after you finish fallout 3), Mass Effect 3, and Skyrim. Reach was fun, and it's a fun interesting challenge to play through on Legendary difficulty.

I've already got New Vegas and Skyrim on PS3, though Mass Effect is something that I've been thinking of getting into for some time. The only thing that's held me back is that I've heard the original Mass Effect is really hard to get into, between the way the menu and inventory is designed, and how combat is worked in that game.
