Halo 4 is on its way

My issue is not with the difficulty of the game, I said AI. You can make a game tough but it doesn't mean the AI is great. Great AI is a believable enemy that impresses you to head into combat with. Gears has wicked AI that use cover properly and flank properly. It makes it fun.

All I've ever seen up to Halo 3 (smoke's was right, I stopped at that) was enemies moving in a fucking stupid fasion. It's like the way enemies move in Fallout3 and NV, it's left to right and unnatural, it's bullshit. And its not that Halo has aliens, it's shitty programming. Moving away from grenades was done in Half Life, waaay before Halo. I'm talking winning by using convincing tactics, not giving the bots inhuman accuracy.

And a series, Smokes, cannt be judged by a single game. I didn't play Reach but Auss reckon's it's shit, but even if it was good, it doesn't make all of them good. I'm sure it's an improvement and I wouldn't mind giving it a shot but how have the rest of series been so popular whilst seeming so boring? It just completely baffles me. I'd love to enjoy Halo, I really try to like it every time I play, but I end up lying to myself and wasting my time.

Maybe it's me. I'm a PC player and Halo is very console-y and arcadey. Mayne it's not shit, maybe we just don't connect.

It'd help if it had a story worth paying attention to :s

Halo 2 and Halo 3 had stupid story that I didn't care for. Had enough fun in the campaign, but didn't care what was going on.

Halo 1, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Reach are tits.

if we could get a group together like we get a group together for MAG for Reach on 360? we'd have so much fucking fun.
and with all the shit that Forge lets you do? we'd never get bored.

I'd deffo play online multiplayer but only with UUDD guys, like with Warhawk...

I could see how you might not enjoy the arcadeyness of it all.

However, the online game modes feature a ton of variety (even before you go into Forge), and it seems like you'd enjoy Team SWAT. No shields. Headshots galore. Blahblah.

Individually, I'm probably an above-average Halo player at best.

When paired with my friend, Matt, we are a force to be reckoned with.

We usually play 2 vs. 2 matchmaking, and have a good habit of raping the shit out of most challengers.

Back in our heyday of Halo: CE, we once took on a team of 7 in Capture the Flag on Blood Gulch.

That's 2 vs. 7 Capture the Flag. There is no reason they shouldn't have raped us instantly.

We held our own for 3 hours, got their flag three-quarters of the way back to our base, and they never got our flag out of our base. We ended up calling it a draw when it was clear nobody would be scoring anytime soon.

We then beat our High School's Halo champs (we didn't enter that tourney) who were a team of 3 in a Team Slayer match. Not a huge feat when you consider that the team with less people has more targets to kill. When you consider that the score was 50-17 and we only used Melees (no grenades even), then it shows how tight our teamwork was.

I miss those days.

I was 14 at the time. You remember the 14 year old me. I greatly improved at FPS games.
