i enjoy getting an achievemnt on the 360 that has had some thought put into its name especially when it references popular culture. Two of my favourites are the "my love for you is like a truck" achievement from gears of war ,when you kill the berzerker, because of the Clerks film reference and the "bridge over trebled slaughter" achivement from left 4 dead 2 ,where you have to run across the bridge section in under 3 minutes, due to its simon and garfunkel referance of their bridge over troubled water song. Does anybody know of any other achievements from any games that have clevver references in their names?

There's a portal 2 achievement/trophy called Narbacular Drop, which is a nice little reference to the student project that spawned those games.

Every single BRUTAL LEGEND cheev/trophy = names of classic metal songs.

The Ghostbusters ones are all lines from the films too, which I liked, and the Bulletstorm ones have a tendency to make me laugh, especially one specific trophy image:

Name: Armed and dangerous
Requirement: Grow as a person, experience betrayal. Again.
Trophy image is this:

Hyperdimension Neptunia has a bunch of SEGA references in the trophy names (NepNep Rocket, Nepgagaga Complete, etc).

I like how Dead Rising had the Zombie Genocider achievement, then Left 4 Dead had the Zombie Genocidest achievement which required you to kill just 1 more zombie than Dead Rising. Then Dead Rising 2 has the Z-Genocider 2: Genocide Harder achievement. Rock Band 3 has the HOPO-cidal Maniac achievement which requires you to do the same amount of Hammer-ons/Pull-offs as the number of zombie kills for the Z-Genocider achievement.

I like the ones with titles like, "No Life" for playing certain games for insane amounts of time.

Crysis 2 has a nice Cheev you get right at the start of the first level called

'can it run Crysis 2'

In honor of the fact the first game required a fairly hefty rig to run on pc

All of Fallout: New Vegas' trophies/achievements are based off of old 50s song names. Also, the Assassin's Creed series trophies are pretty punny, like in ACII when you meet your Uncle Mario for the first time, you get an achievement saying "Its-a Me, Mario!", and Brotherhood has tons of 'em.

Red Dead Redemption had some pretty funny achievement names as I remember - what a great game.
