Got Kinect early? Don't play it!

If you've managed to get your hands on a Kinect and some games before its official release, then best not let curiosity get the better of you, otherwise you'll be enjoying something more like dis-Kinect.

One Kotaku reader sent in this warning:

Unfortunately, the update isn't the newest version, and every time you try to sign into Live it will try to update to a version that does not exist on the server. Since you can't connect to Live without the newest version, the system will be locked out until the update goes on the servers."

So, instead of waving your arms around to try and control some virtual character on screen, you'll be waving your arms around in despair, trying to control your temper and getting this on screen:

So, someone gets their hands on some kit and tries it before the release date, and wonders why they can't get on Live?

Kinectimals has hit the streets early, and its this game thats doing this update.

What if I have kinect now and don't touch it?

bought it a couple months ago it gets used like guitar hero video game nights with friends. I am interested im Ryse though
