Turns out that if you have the 4GB version of the 360 Slim, then if you 're hoping for a little co-op action, then you're out of luck.

It would appear that, despite the box not mentioning this little issue, having a hard drive (and not a memory unit like the 4GB has) is a must for co-op, and any attempt to join a co-op game will result in the following error:

"One or more players do not have a certified Xbox 360 hard drive attached to their Xbox 360 console. Some multiplayer aspects of Halo: Reach require an Xbox 360 certified hard drive."

Normally this would mean MS are pretty much ready for a roasting, but check out the fine print on the back of the box:

"features and requirements may change without notice".

So whats the solution? Well, you can go out and buy an official 360 Slim hard drive - a steal at only $129.99.

Well done, Microsoft. Thats some crafty shafting.
