From my perspective, the conference was pretty mediocre, at points it was basically a Nintendo conference with the controllers photoshopped away.

Except you might as well use a normal controller to look at a car? Feels sorta pointless to use kinect for that. The fact that you have to hold your hand in spot for a while to activate something kills any immersion there could've been.

The problem with motion control is that things may look intuitive, but likely aren't. Remember when people haggled Nintendo for motion control for the sword in Zelda: TP? Now, "waggle" controls are the bane of many.

I thought Kinect was going to do away with that and introduce real 1:1 control but it doesn't seem that way from the look of the demos shown today. Which is pretty disappointing. The closest thing was that fucking fitness game..
