When did that happen? I thought it was just a word.

Can someone send me a list of these supposedly 'pretentious' words, for future reference?

I always thought it was called Revolution cos the concept was for a spherical console.

if you haven't noticed, most, if not all of the shit the big three churn out is all pretentious bullshit

and as far as I'm concerned there was never a spherical console, and the 'nintendo on' was just some fan made hoax.

MS and Sony's motion responses may both suck and fail, but one thing they've managed to do better than Wii was name the devices appropriately. I also agree that Wii is still the worst name for anything gaming related ever, Natal was challenging for that title and if the name doesn't get changed it will win.

@ the pretentiousness of 'revolution' - regardless of how much it lived up to the name in terms of delivering, it did kick off motion gaming, which is now spreading to the other two consoles and doesn't seem likely to be completely removed from gaming even in the next generation. For that, I say it's not pretentious.

My thought when I saw the title of this thread:
'Project Natal's new name is... disappointment'

I was much more interested in Natal/Kinect than Wave from the potential I saw in the tech. After seeing the first bunch of games, I'm taking a wait and see approach rather than buying it upon release.
