Long story short: I have a Japanese Xbox and a US account. I want to buy more points. The Xbox says no because I don't have a credit card with a US address. Amazon says no for the same reason, which surprised the hell out of me because I bought a PSN game over the winter. Guess they only enforce region locks for certain vendors?

Anyway, what can I do? I thought of arranging for someone in the US to buy the points and then e-mailing me the code, but that seems needlessly complex. Is there a do-it-myself option here?

And you never think to ask me. A-Too has US point cards.
Also check the Japanese store, most games come out day in day.

If I buy Japanese XBLA games, won't they be in Japanese? I don't want that; Perfect Dark menus are confusing enough as it is.

Yeah, Erbs is real good at getting you the code fast, I think he got me it within 24 hours of me sending him the money.

Nah, they are usually still in English. I havent had any trouble any way. If not like I said A-Too in Niponbashi or one of these lovely chaps (they will be much cheaper) is your best bet.
