@ the pretentiousness of 'revolution' - regardless of how much it lived up to the name in terms of delivering, it did kick off motion gaming, which is now spreading to the other two consoles and doesn't seem likely to be completely removed from gaming even in the next generation. For that, I say it's not pretentious.

My thought when I saw the title of this thread:
'Project Natal's new name is... disappointment'

I was much more interested in Natal/Kinect than Wave from the potential I saw in the tech. After seeing the first bunch of games, I'm taking a wait and see approach rather than buying it upon release.

(sorry to drag up a bit of a dated thread now)

DUDE! What's happening?!?!

I'm personally planning to buy Kinect, not necessarily day 1, but soon enough. Once these first few games get out of the way, I'm sure we'll see more interesting and creative uses of the technology. That said, it wasn't all bad. I like the way, they've integrated Kinect right into the dashboard. I like the potential of games like Kinect Adventures (if the concept is taken a bit further). The fitness game we saw Ubisoft show off was very impressive to me. Child of Eden looked fantastic IMO.

Either way, I think what I'm trying to say is, "please dont leave us again...lol "

I think it's sad that the fitness game was the only game that seemed to do something interesting from a technical standpoint. The others looked like ordinary wii wiggle.

Dance Central is the only game that appeals to me

and even then I'd probably only play that while utterly wasted.

I'll likely buy it eventually (so long as second gen stuff is a more exciting offering than the initial batch). I do still see a lot of potential, just am thinking I may wait for a price drop or real reason to buy it. I think Child of Eden does look cool and agree the fitness game has my interest.
