Supposedly Duodecim comes with the original Dissidia, but only unlocks after you beat the game. Also I plan to play Lord of Apocalypse, maybe Arcana too, dunno.

Not heard that one, but I highly doubt it, given that a UMD wouldn't be anywhere near big enough. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

I have both games separate, and you can carry over data from 1 to 2, but while 2 has more characters, 1 has infinitely more "other" content. Over 100 hours, only just beaten the stories for them all, and not even 5% of the extra items, accessories, etc unlocked. Coliseum is digital crack.

2 also has a mini-prolog available for download for about $2. It centres around Lightning IIRC.

I said I'd start 2 when I was done with 1.

Looks like I'll never start it at this rate.

TL;DR - Get the first Dissidia, forget the second.

Successfully complete the game to unlock an option for the original Dissidia story at the "Story Selection" screen.

I watched a youtube video review, and the reviewer said he was surprised to see it unlocked after beating the game. 2 games for the price of one :)

So just Story Mode? First game has so much more in terms of minigames and other stuff, so you have to decide what means more, story mode and more characters, or all the other modes and collectables that the second game gave up on.

Or buy both and just don't carry saves over. ;)

You can, but you need a Pandora battery, and it can be a pretty risky operation.

The money Prof got could buy him a 16GB card and enough games to fill it and still have enough left over for some rum, so... :D

You need a special battery? Then fuck that.

Caved and bought the 4GB bundle. Purchased Duodecim a few minutes ago. Lord of Arcana is next.

The first Disiddia had more stuff to do on it...

But you'll have fun with both anyways.

Only the storylines.

Duel Coliseum is gone, and that was more addictive than shooting up heroin with a needle made from crack.

Labyrinth mode was added, which was a stripped down DC, but not a lot of folk liked it.

DC alone kept me going for months.

When I got my Vita I went on a PS store binge.

I had a hacked PSP and all that good stuff but this was before Dissidia.

I now own Dissidia 1, FF3, Parasite Eve 3 (garbage).. and have yet to do any of them :(

I must get round to Dissidia as it was actually a fucking awesome game from the hour or so I played.

Shame Vita can't use Ad Hoc party on PS3 or anything like that. It would have been neat to arrange some games.

I bought duodecim and was extremely underwhelmed...combat is confusing and seems to play itself. I dont even think theres a story.

The controls of the beta of the new Killzone made me want to die

Just bought the chrono cross remake, hoping it's worth playing when I get a chance to sit down with it.

I kinda regret getting the vita at this point.

Honestly - the only game so far that has made me feel like the Vita was worthwhile was Gravity Rush and then PS+ spoilt me by giving that and Uncharted for free - and have kept them available FOR MONTHS now.

They've put a couple other games I had already bought on there too. So moral of the story - don't buy anything for Vita. Sony will give it you for free later on anyway. That seems like a backwards business practice but hey.. when your handheld has zero fucking reasons to own it then I guess it makes sense.

The Vita has so few games avaialble in comparison to the PS3, that with PS+, you're bound to get everything for free eventually. Amirite?

Seems legit.

There still doesn't feel like a solid reason to own a Vita yet.

Other than Gravity Rush 2 being confirmed.

They may as well change the name to Playstation Gravity Rush Player.

I do however like the concept of the Vita TV device.. gimmicky sure. Especially when the Vita's library consists of console games they put there 'so you can play anywhere!!!'

So next I'll be able to play the console games redesigned for handheld on my TV :D

Seems so... well, you know.

Gravity Rush was cool but I only got to the second island and got a little bored. Its cool and all but aiming the camera in mid air is slow unless you use motion controls, and there's no way I'm wriggling and worming around when my chair when I'm trying to have a relaxing game.

I don't like how they keep throwing remakes out instead of developing fresh games, but I did enjoy Metal Gear Solid, and I will be getting Final Fantasy X-2 (didn't you know, it comes with Final Fantasy X, if that's your bag, baby).

I'm going through AC:Liberation atm and it's fun. Soul Sacrifice is next on my list, gonna tear it up with Raiku.

A new FF on there would go amiss. Thinking about getting FFV though, as that's on there as PS1 game.

All in all it's fucking easy to pick up and play, I keep it by my bed and it's never further away from me than that. Got Ninja Gaiden on it atm which is the tits (even though I'd completed it countless times).

New games. Fresh, new, non-ported games. That's what the fucker needs. Not fucking indie games, if I wnated them I'd play on my PC or iPad or Phone. Not my costyl fucking Vita.
