I've been looking for a decent RPG but I get lost in all of the jrpgs are there are so many and they're all the same.

I don't go for JRPGs generally because so many I've tried are so...goofy. Sorry maybe that's an unfair generalisation but I find so many unplayable. Like I had a look at Persona 4 on youtube, and it looked absolutely....not my cuppa tea. School kids...just...fuckken...no.

I don't mind the likes of Final Fantasy in terms of style but some are just way too much for me, which is why I don't venture into the JRPG area.

So knowing that, you think you can advise on something that will last me a while? I'm looking at something to last me if possible...

Do PS1 games work on Vita?

If so, fucking Wild ARMs.

2nd best RPG on PS1, after FF9.

Persona 4 is easily one of the greatest GAMES (not just JRPGs) I've ever played in my entire life. It's legitimately amazing, although if that isn't your cuppa tea, I dunno why you're asking me since that would mean Blokeh's more your RPG guy.

Disgaea 3 is on PS Vita (I lurve me my Disgaea), but that'll be a huge turnoff for ya if you hate SRPGs.

Most of the JRPGs I'M looking forward to for Vita haven't been announced for Western release, so... unless you wanna play the game in Japanese, you'll hafta wait for my recommendations. Don't be turned off by Persona 4 from a glimpse on youtube. The series is amazing, and they actually have to be experienced. That said, it may not be for you.

Phantasy Star Online 2 when it's released? I know I'll be there.

Also, the JRPGs I like are ALL on the 'goofy' side. The only 'serious' ones I like are the OG Phantasy Stars. Otherwise it's the Tales Of (serious/goofy mix) series, Atelier series, Disgaea series, Persona (goofy at times but actually pretty fucking dark), and random goofiness RPGs.

MAYBE check out the Y's games when the Vita ones are out? Or The Legend Of Heroes Trails in the Sky if the Vita version ever comes out here?

You should trawl through the PS store Ax.. and then youtube as you did with Persona 4.

From what I can remember the PSP had some decent RPGs (quite a lot actually) but its all dependent on whether they put it on the PS store.

Still no FF7 Crisis Core on store and this upsets me BIGTIME.

Crisis Core was AWESOME and I refuse to acknowledge any different.

I still haven't finished CC, but I still have the special edition PSP.

It was an incredibly good game, but I hit a point where these dog enemies had an instadeath move, and I got sooooo annoyed with it.

But yes, amazing game.
