whats your view on the PSP. i haven't got one. thats why i'm asking whats your opinion?

I love mine, hard.

Great for games, I can use the PSN store on it (using my PS3 account, by no means), I can use it to access my PS3 from anywhere in the world (seriously), the picture quality is great, movie playback is very high quality (not just UMD but MP4 as well), and the internet radio is a godsend when you're on the crapper.

If its a toss-up between the PSP and DS, I'd say the only reason to get a DS over the PSP is the GBA compatibility of the DS. If it wasn't for this, I wouldn't have a DS.

Great console, poor games.

DS absolutely kills the PSP in terms of games. tbh it's too bad because the PSP is really sexy, has good graphics and good controls.

Seriously though, I love mine. People get down on it about the games, but I actually own as many PSP titles as I do for the DS. DS wins 'cause it has Phoenix Wright though.

how would you know how loose a hookers hips are ?? :hmm: I love the psp. I also use it to watch movies and listen to music. It a good allround multimedia system

Had one, traded it, may get one now I have the ps3 so i can play old ps1 games, and Locoroco2 and Patapon 2. But Ill be looking for a cheaper 2000 model.

Now 2000's in Japan are about 70quid pre-owned so after next pay day I'm thinking of picking one up. Any one know if all the 3000 functions come in recent firmware updated for all PSP's?

(The 2000 thing isn't money based, its the screen tearing on 2D games thats putting me off.)

They say 'The clearer screen isn't perfect for the 2D games you really want to play so doesn't justify and extra 50 quid' yes.
I had 2 psps in the past a black one at release in Japan then the MGS one, now it just want to pick up a slim for cheap for mostly 2D stuff. From what I hear the scan lines are worst on these so thought Id stick with a 2000.

They also removed all the padding and reinforcements. I'd never get a 3000.

I've only ever seen scanlines on my PSP-3000 when playing with the game at the very brightest setting (which is only available when plugged in via AC adapter), which is next to never. 'Cause who plays their PSP with it plugged into the wall? Idiots?

I have it. Don't play it often, but that is more to do with lack of time, than desire. Good little machine. Some great games.
