Are we being serious right now? I'm probably one of the few people here who isn't completely biased towards a system. This site has over time become extremely pro sony and anti ms, which is why my defense of Microsoft at times comes across as bias to you.

Also, nevermind the fact that PS3 was my primary console last gen.

I'm just callin em like I sees em man, no slight intended. We're all biased in some way or another, and you're always overjoyed with MS news and usually at best indifferent towards Sony.
Me, I got dat Ninty bias. I didn't give a shit about the PS4 or XBone (until No Man's Sky) but I want a Wii-U even though I know that catalogue is hella lacking.

Im typically very into Sonys offerings I feel, but this year just didnt have it for me. Dont get me wrong, they showed some cool stuff, but I felt like the majority of content I was impressed by was the multiplatform stuff like Arkham Knight, which was IMO by far the most impressive reveal of their show. I also loved the GTAV reveal, Mortal Kombat trailer and to a lesser degree Farcry 4.

That said though, I felt the exclusive lineup was pretty weak.

Uncharted, we may as well have seen nothing. Whatever thats what I expected.
The order still looks cool.
New LittleBigPlanet. Do want. Especially since my 1&2 went away with the PS3 dying.
Bloodborne, ABZU and Entwined couldn't be any less appealing to me
Grim Fandango, Ive never heard of it, so its hard to get excited at all
The Devolver stuff mostly looked kinda crappy imo and I get the impression it's only timed exclusive anyway
No Man's Sky, I'm definitely interested. Wanna see more.
Let it die, looks flat out terrible.
And The last of us is a great game, but I've played it already

PS Now BETA w/ Ratchet. Fuck yeah, sign me up
Ratchet movie kinda cool. Rather a new game though personally
PSTV is alright, but I'm not the market they're after there with that product.

Obviously winners and losers are all subjective, but I just felt like Microsofts lineup resonated more with me as a gamer.

No Man Sky is TGEWar the game and we all know Sypher is an M$ drone. Majority of things that are coming to the Xbone will be on PC so there is no real reason to get a Xbone. Also, No Man Sky is going to be on PC so the footage we saw is probably PC.

You are breaking my heart

Grim Fandango was one of the last great Point-and-Click Adventure games published by LucasArts. Tim Schafer was the director for the game. It had a film-noir design infused with a Dia de los Muertos aesthetic. It was fucking amazing. The writing was ridiculously clever with solid puzzles.

Here is a trailer for the original game.

Just got home from work and immediately caught up with Sony's conference. Two things I thought

It could've done with being WAY shorter, and the audio/video engineers need to be fired and shot at with super soakers. HOLK SMOSH

Overall though? I was really bored with a lot of it. A few cool showings, but a TON of what they showed were just teasers, and that's not okay. They weren't even all that great either. I'll forgive a teaser if it at least hypes me up somewhat, but I didn't feel much of that at all. Uncharted also gets the golden poo for having teasers two years in a row.

Also, the introduction to LittleBigPlanet was flawless, and probably the best thing in the conference. They just all got up on stage and got right down to business, receiving a VERY welcoming applause. Second to that was Arkham Knight's Scarecrow fakeout. That was incredibly well played.

Overall I'll give them a C. It was neato I guess.

I haven't watched any of this shit, but anything new about No Man's Sky is a plus for me. Everything I've seen about that game appeals to me on so many levels.

Alright so Destiny? Yeah looks good but no new footage (been a fucking habit for games this year eh?),

The Order? I was stoked for this initially but after seeing gameplay footage prE3, I can't help but think this is a re-skinned Gear clone. I'd like to think that the footage seen this morning is a big role in the game, and not just one little cutscene of atmosphere they decided to show.

Entwined looks like another depthless abstract game. Not my cuppa tea.

Sadly infamous isn't my bad, but to be fair I havn't played Second Son. I'd like a more grounded travel mechanic but I'm not sure I'm every going to find out.

LBP? Now y'all can suck my fucking wanger. This shit is more important than any of the other shit. And the dude seemed to be YORKSHUR. It seems to be a bigger emphasis on a second/third player and co-op. I like the idea of new characters having designated abilities. I like the fact that they ACTUALLY seemed to be playing the game live. Go MM!

Bloodborn, so another Dark Souls style game? It might not be but have they done anything else yet? It's a new next gen game anyway, and that's what we need. And those devs need to get a seriously better name.

FarCry, yup seen. Looks decent, need to finish 2 and play 3. Another pretence of playing the game live when the movement is so obviously fake. But them allowing friends to join without the game is fairly cool. I imagine they'll need a PS+ sub.

Dead Island 2, good reveal. I'd like some more on this.

Last of us on PS4? I don't care for rehashes. Played it, loved it.

Diablo on PS4? I dont care, see above.

Hardline? I'll be honest guys I dont really like the look of this. Cops and Robbers is interesting but it's way too big for that. A team of four? Yeah why not. But I reckon Payday and GTA (when heists come out) are gonna do all of this better. Just my guess. I wont be getting this.

Disney Infinity? yeah I dont need to explain, I don't care.

Magicka 2, laughed my ass off. A decent exclusive to have.

Grim fandango is a fucking good move.

Broforce looks good, a but like Timeforce. In fact all these indie games look decent, and they dont seem to be old rehashed indie games already on PC like the shit they announced last year.

Let it Die, looks like new good fun.

Abzu looks interesting, but showed practically nothing more than an idea.

No man's sky deffo looks to be a cool idea but nothing more. The planetary travel thing is a really cool idea but you can't make a game out of that. I see flight combat but nothing more. What do you do on the planets? Is it a srvival thing like minecraft? When playing with friends, does your game stay playable if the host isn't online? What if your friends want to play in that universe when you're offline? This game seems to be getting my own brain to say "oh this could be good, wouldn't it be fun if you could do this?" It's shown me nothing groundbreaking other than travelling seamlessly from a planet to space. And I've seen that before e3, this game isn't new. It's also not an exclusive. No biggie until i hear more about the game.

OK so skipped through the rest.

----------------

Final thoughts for Sony, a mixed bag.

They had some cool announcements, sadly some of which don't appeal to me (inFamous). They had a good few indie game exclusives which was good, LBP which is a good thing always. After reading Facebook today I was expecting a terrible con, but I really enjoyed it, for the most part.

My beefs, however, are "GRAPHIX GRAPHIX OMG BETTER GRAPHIX ON PS4 HUR HUR". We get it. Lack of Vita support is well and truly fucking me off now. I've just about had enough. It seems they're relying on "OH SHIT YOU CAN STREAM WITH IT FROM YOUR OTHER CONSOLES". Yeah, because I buy a PORTABLE CONSOLE TO PLAY AROUND MY FUCKING HOUSE YOU CNUTS. And sadly most of it was multiplatform games they showed (if you take away the re-releases which I don't care for).

I have more problems with the Sony one than I do the MS one, I felt the MS one had way more potentially good games for me, and not marginally. But I was surprised at how good the Sony one was. Sadly like all of E3, announcements come in the form of a CGI trailer and we don't actually get the game for 3 years later.

Hey it may be great, and I'm happy to try almost anything, but I have no point of reference, so the announcement doesn't really get me.

Just lol. When are you going to finally get it that people en masse don't want to play games on their PC if they can play them on a console instead. You do and that's great, but PC version of games don't make their console counterparts irrelevant by any means ever.

PC GAMING AND CONSOLE GAMING ARE BY AND LARGE TOTALLY DIFFERENT MARKETS
